Triumph TR5: Testing to see if there is a ballast resistor fitted

This is not an instructional video. Instead it is a record of how I determine if my ignition system has a ballast resistor fitted. As I keep burning through coils, I want to be sure that I am fitting the correct coil for the system.

This is interesting as on my Stag I seemed to go through coils because of the heat from the engine, a chap I talked to who knows a lot about Stags suggested a resin coil instead so I have bought
a Viper one so I shall see how I go.
