Its interesting that this song evokes such nostalgia as it matches the lore of the region quite nicely. Ludibrium was a place where time had been intentionally halted to preserve the joy and wonder of childhood for a king who wished to never move on. We do not have that king's wealth or power or genius engineers, we have only our memories of that cherished past to look back on.
This music gives off a rather uneasy but grandiose feeling; it beckons you to delve further in. Even then, you know you're in for some terrifyingly strong monsters. Once you're strong enough to fight the boss at the end and do so for the first time, there's no feeling like it.

지금은 뭐랄까 메이플월드 전체가 결국 하나의 스토리로 수렴하는, 지역 스토리는 부차적이고 결국 흐름대로 멱살잡혀서 이끌리는 느낌인데 이땐 말그대로 지역 각각에 완전히 독립적인 스토리들이 흩어져있고 원하는 지역을 탐험하도록 게임이 구성돼서 그런지 지역 하나하나를 기획할때 시작부터 최종컨텐츠까지 완성되게 짠다는 느낌으로 만들지 않았을까 싶음
What an underrated track! I never got to listen to this song many times as I think it was featured only on one map, and most of the time I was jumping down to go to Warped or Forbidden Path of Time, and the music would change as soon as you entered the portal. The only time I listened to this for an extended time was probably when I had to climb up the really long ladder going up. XD
One of my favorite things that isn't even related to the music itself is how creative their song titles were. Most of them seem rather random at first, but when you put them in context they just feel.. right.
The transition from 1:31 feels so magical, like Im being transported back to my childhood. The contrast from the cheerfulness of the song from before to the change in tone that gives a sad/nostalgic vibe is amazing, I love this ost.
Altough I didn't play Maple in its hayday, I did play in an oldschool Maple server. I know about Maplestory from a streamer I watch regulary and I gotta say, Maple has this magical feeling of nostalgia about it, magical in the sense that just listening to its OST can invoke such a strong feeling of nostalgia even if you didn't play Maple as a child.

Never played Maplestory, I was a runescape boi back in the day but I think if I had played Maplestory in stead I would have been just as hooked, and the soundtrack is awesome! Always a lovely sentimental value to songs like this that were a big part of people's childhoods

I dint understand ludibrium well in the past, but now coming back here i realized the top part of ludibrium is like our pure childhood toys robots but when it transits to the bottom part it gets scary. I think what it meants is as we grow up, we tend to face responsibilities and tasks and it has once been forgotten memory of the pure child
It gets darker and scarier as you go down. The music gets more sinister. The beats start playing in minor instead of major. When you're young and innocent, time is your friend. As you go deeper into the world, time is your enemy (enter Papulatus - The Clock Boss!)
I remember i used to met up with some strangers who was assasins and dk total 5 members while i use my friend's sin. We were lvl 50+ and came down to explore since this map was considered high lvl back then. So fun yet so nostalgic
I remember back in early 2006, when this was the highest-level dungeon in the game, and the only area to feature multiple bosses, all of whom were as strong if not stronger than the Crimson Balrog, previously the strongest enemy in the game, bar none. Any story to be spoken of back then was merely hinted at by NPCs, and Papulatus was the only superboss at the time. Any other boss would just spawn on its own every couple of hours, but you needed to go through a whole series of quests to fight Papulatus. It really felt like this was the "end" of your journey.
Favorite music of the game, the room before papulatus is my favorite too, it's mysterious, far away and special maybe, i remember staying there before and after the fight with the papulatus back in the day(before Big Bang).
Ivangold When I was 6 I thought BB was the best thing ever after I got my first character up to level 30 Before I quit, my Luminous was level 163. I wish BB hadn't happened now I've wisened up.
The game now can be more experienced, it doesn't take you 8hours to get lv30 and get second job, you can now experience a class and more maps without using so much time, i do agree that the comunity part was better, but the people also are responsible for this.

This song is one of my favorites. If you just close your eyes and immerse yourself in the music, you can just lose yourself in Ludi and it's a wonderful toy-world dream.

When I was 10 I was a traveler. I explored the whole world even though my character was only lvl 20.
TylerTheDragon Now is a lvl 120 area. You can get by that level now in 3 days.
