There's an additional step that you can take to upgrade the swordhand of Night Jolan spirit ash. When you have her spirit ashes, you can go to shaman village in the north and platform your way to Rabbath's rise. By falling in through the ceiling, you will see the swordhand of Night Anna puppet. Interacting with it will allow you to fuse/upgrade the swordhand of Night Jolan into Jolan and Anna.
By far one of the best quests in a From Software game so far, holy crap. I love how Lovecraftian and Bloodborne-esk Metyr is too, truly one of the highlights of the DLC for me so far.
I fell and died in the stairs in the open hole after pressing the button under the throne and when i went back, he was sitting there and now can’t go back inside
This is actually part of the quest, if you do the ruins in the wrong order (second first and the first one after) he will move from the throne briefly and if you die there he will ask if you have seen anything odd. Just do the other ruin quest and he should leave again.
expend ALL of his remaining dialogue. Talk to him, and talk about the other topics he wants to discuss (Miquella, happenings in the world). Do this until this dialog option dissapears. Now travel somewhere else, turn time to night, and travel back to the cathedral and you're good to go
This boss is such pain, plus the community, being the community. I've had 3 people join, then immediately leave wasting my items, so ive resighned muself to fighting it alone, which is exhausting.
So Ymir was pretending to be a helping Teacher this whole time, only to tell me that he's now the mother and I have to be the one to take the responsibility. No wonder it's still june for a weird reason.
i have done the quest up until the fight and beaten them both, i already had both item choices but when i go back to the site of grace she isn't slumped over on the pillar just gone.

after you defeat Messmer you can go back to the cathedral and down to the finger area before you should and after you get invaded you can talk to jolan again and she has a new dialogue but it didnt change to story for me so i wonder if theres something you can change, although i doubt that.
I figured it out. There are two areas you need to go to and blow the...finger thing, not just one. There's one at the top right and one more towards the lower right of the map. Once you've done both it should be fine again.
It’s in a cave called Bonny Gaol it’s by Bonny village just explore the cave till u get to a lift it goes down but don’t get off, it will go back up to where the armor is
@@fahadalomran7667 yeah so I actually still had one more finger to ring the bell through. After I did that I talked to Ymir one more time and when I reloaded the area I was able to open the secret passage again to the ladder.
@@organiczigzags at the end of the quest line, when you talk to the guy on the ground u have an option between 2 things to give to him, one gives you a sword while the other gives u spirit ashes and I accidentally chose the spirit ashes instead of the sword.
Accidentally fell down the ladder after ringing 1st bell, does anyone know there a way to re trigger him moving to the graveyars or to acess the area later?
@@arroncolman2191 just keep progressing the quest and he will move again, you have to go down there eventually anyway so its all good. Ring the second bell and he should eventually move off permanently.
I'm on step 8 and can't can't past him. I accidentally fell down the ladder and died, when I went back he was on the chair again. How do I get the option to go down the ladder again??
So uh on quest step 5 i went back to his place and found a secret button on his throne wich opened up a hole in the ground, will i ruin the quest if i go down there?
bonny village cave! gotta make your way down until there’s a pot elevator you need to drop on near a bridge, go down then ride it all the way up and her armor is there + shield
u get it by going into rabbath's rise from shaman village, drop down into the balcony and there will be a doll u can interact with giving you both the summons.
@@colvamoon6962 you have to complete the questline choose the summon over the sword, turn you summon to the doll in which it will give you the upgraded version.
Can you get more than one iris of occultation i may have accidentally used mine when i found it curios on what it did and um it took 100k runes from me 😅

I blew the second finger horn, exhausted his dialogue and refreshed the checkpoint but he won’t move away from his throne. Did I miss something?
I don’t know if it depends or not, but I waited until night like he says, but I can be totally wrong

Use amon and black flame, or rosu axe ash stuns it
If you haven't beaten it, bleed works great, killed it extremely fast after my mimic took aggro

After you defeat the black knight you can talk to Jolan (the edge lord black knight on top) and she has more dialogue.
I accidentally consumed the iris of occultation without knowing it was for this quest i feel like such an idiot 😅

Some of these boss attack are selective wether they kill you or not. You can get hit the same attack and they'll do different amounts of damage.

No, that's just an optional step if you want the weapon that invader drops earlier

i think you need to charge it, if u are and the damage is still bad it might be low stats, or the ash of war is just buns
