well from what I understand the cultivation of morels is "impossible" cuz you need pre-existing conditions and networks w/ plants, typically only found out in nature and what not. Anyways this video will prolly decrease thier monetery value, but the funny thing is mushrooms have no shits about the "value" of money besides nutritional.
If I was to try this imo you have to have the grass growing and no sterilize of dirt even or i guess u could sterilize it but i dont think it would matter.. then i would think a spray of spores.. let grow with normal sun conditions like spring day times and cool spring environment and they should pop but thats a lot of work i can see
They invented a way to shovel wild soil from morel patches in to buckets and relocate it to a farm environment. IMO. Still very cool. That density is impressive compared to the other commercial cultivation attempts that I've seen. How long was this time lapse?
i always thought true morels are must form obligate root hyphae with roots of specific tree species. It's really cool that you could do it without needing the tree species! good luck! i think paul stamets mentioned something about morels in a natural habitat in North America requires forest fire or other disturbance to stimulate its growth (in which nutrients are suddenly released into the soil for the morel mycorrhizal to use)
It depends on the species, there's quite a few different species of morels (broken into several clades) that have different habitats and growing requirements, some have been successfully grown in labs and others have failed as a result
@@cowboyj3677 dead elm and dead ash is the advice my family has gone on for generations. No idea about the science of it, but it’s worked for us. Ohio and Michigan.
Why would they keep it a secret. It might be real but has anyone else noticed how the morels are so stiff and barely flex when they are cutting and handling them. That makes Mr question alot. They aren't the only good scientist out there. So seems suspicious? But great job
Reveal your secrets!!!!!
Amazing. Congrats. My mind is thoroughly blown. Thanks for the tip, I'll be planting our morels around conifers. ;D
delicious, and looky how quick they grow! light the charcoal, season the steaks, and saute the Morels while the steaks cook!
Awesome 👌. Got a reason to visit Denmark 🇩🇰 😮

And yet there still so many people that think they just 'pop' out of the ground and thats the size they're gonna be forever 😂
And they said it couldn't be done
