i just have a problem with Gary Neville who was one of the least talented players on that 1990s team criticising TAA who is one of the best fullbacks in world football at just 19. This is the problem when the English football media is filled with mediocre former players just because they are outspoken. Neville never played football anywhere near his quality so doesn't recognise talent he never had when he sees it.
I feel he was fair - saying he could be the best in the world, pretty much, if he works on the easiest bits of his game.
Roy Keane's deadpan delivery is comedy gold.

Keane gets a lot of unnecessary stick for his career as a manager.
1) Sunderland appointed him when they was bottom of the championship with 4 straight defeats. Keane gains them automatic promotion.
2) He then secures Sunderland another year in the premiership the year after.
3) Ipswich- the club where nobody succeeds.
4) A decent run with the Irish team.
His record as a manager isn’t bad. Perhaps his flexibility to change (drop) his standards to the modern day player is why in this soft culture we live in, will stop him from achieving anything in the modern game as he won’t tolerate ‘nonsense’.

I disagree. He's on as a pundit, not a manager. As a manager I'm sure he would act and behave in a way in which the responsibilities of the role need and demand, for any faults he has he is a model professional. As a pundit he's doing what he feels is right. I dont think you can equate punditry with being a manager.

Trent is the heir to Gerrards thrown. In fact I believe he could become of the greatest cms ever. One shouldnt look at him as a right back but as a footballer his potential is unbelievable. Show me a player who can whip the ball like him with both feet? He can't just do it he can do it with vision an purpose. Only the great cms of football come to mind when you think of this ability. Trent's vision and technique is incredible. It's mind blowing what he is already capable of. People are foolish to believe he gonna be playing right back 3 years from now. I think currently only de brunye can compete with his passing ability. But I'm not sure about moving him to midfield yet. Robertson makes better runs (with and off the ball) down the flank while Trent has better delivery/crosses. That's the most obvious difference between the two LFC fbs. Both are great fbs regardless

Would pick Robertson in my 11 over Trent for now. But then again, Trent has years ahead of him and greater potential. But Robertson is more solid, not as flashy as Trent, but very solid at the back.

I'd put Trent in for purely the fact he can play both offensive incredibly well and defensive(some what well) he is fully ready to fight for balls he loses and has some incredible passing and intelligence. I'd I'm going pure defensive then robo for is undying runs and pure defensive capabilities, but most times Trent would start for me.
