Great video showing the region. However the Roman's weren't chasing Boudicca -they were ahead of her to ensure they could chose the battle site, given they were greatly outnumbered they needed to select terrain that would work to thier advantage, so selected a funnel shaped valley in order that they may gain the high ground. Boudicca's army was so confident of sucesses that they circled all thier wagons and women and children behind them, essentially blocking thier exit , so when the Roman's started gaining advantage in the battle they could not retreat and were locked in by thier own wagons. Thus resulted slaughter and defeat. I did not see the valleys in your video, given the importance of a funnel shaped valley in locating the site, perhaps some further look at the valley areas could be helpful. Ironically, had Boudicca been able to convince her army to delay pillaging Londinium and been able to get ahead of the Roman army to select the battle site herself, she likely would have won the day. Such is the cost of greed and an army that does not listen to its Queen 👑🗡🐎
Very good sir. Right on my doorstep
Beautiful countryside. Hard to imagine a desperate fight to the death happening here. If we could only see back in time . . .
