You guys are made scientists. Excellent, more power to you!
Thank you very much 😀
Is this one of those cars I see in space. Calling: "for the family"
😀👍
Huh?
All hail the mighty transmission. I really REALLY don't envy it for the stuff it's about deal with. 5160Nm going through those gears. Damn... Now that this build was featured on Donut Media, expect a LOT more views guys. Good luck with the rolling out. Can't wait to see it.
Thank you very much! 😀👍
"Officer, I swear to God it's stock"
Lol good luck to the officer who had to catch that
😁😁😁
Wow awesome, fantastic job everyone! You guys write car history in Sweden. Love your work! 👍👏👏👏🏆🙏😎
Thank you very much, we really do appreciate that!
Hats off to you guys
Thank you very much 😀
I guess we'll see if that transmission will handle 1,450 lb-ft of torque
That transmission better have a billet pan and a billet dipstick.
1970 Nm for anyone that doesnt use freedom units
I don't think it needs one. :p
We are using a dragracing prepped TH400, so it should work out fine 😁
@Need for Sleep. Meteors made approximately 1450lb/ft stock. You need to think 4,000 plus if using 3000rpm.
Twin turbo + bigass V12 + air starter + crown Vic = the craziest thing known to the car world pretty much ever
Thank you very much :-D
Air start like a fork lift?
That torque is going to be monstrous!
It will!! 😀
Close to 4000lbft or 5400NM. Absolutely massive
This is nuts guys, just stumbled across this build. I'm gonna watch the rest of the video on it now. Good work
Thank you very much, we really do appreciate that. Make sure to subscribe for new videos 😀
@@TheMeteorInterceptor just did
Just found this & subscribed, I've been following Charlies SD1 in Practical Performance Car for years, great to see anther conversion being done, I bet you guys have some crazy notes to swap!
That’s great, Charlie has become a good friend during our build and he has helped us to build the planetary gear. This car has also been on the front page of PPC-magazine last year 😀
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Guy in his shed: "I need mo powaa, gonna put one of them v12s in my land boat."
😀
The only vehicle that can rival the fuel economy of an ‘86 454 K30
👍😁
That engine sounds slightly different from a Merlin engine. Your engine sounds more sinister at low revs. Throttle respons is nicer then on an aircraft, even when you haven't calibrated the engine yet. Great project!
Thank you very much! 😁
@Moveing Man. Different exhaust design has a major affect on sound from any engine.
@@Slaktrax Yes, of course. And the turbos also has a major affect on the sound 😁
Looking at the build , I saw the tank motor and thought ....." How much weight is on the front suspension?" 🤔
Turning corners will be interesting, good luck and very interesting build👍
Thank you very much. Well the engine is made of aluminium so it only weighs around 600kilos. This is equivalent to one and a half castiron big block engine. We have moved the firewall to mount the engine more to the center of the car. We have also built a heavy duty support frame all the way from the back end to the front end. The frontend is a custom made heavy duty Chevy C10 frontend. And the current weight distribution is 55-45% 😀
@@TheMeteorInterceptor Glad to hear some engineering has gone into it , one hell of a build. So you do have plans on sending it down a quarter mile track then?
It will be a one of a kind with some history lol
@@jameslacey858 Once again, thank you very much. No, it will not be a dragracer. The main goal is to build a car with an extremly big engine, nothing else. It would probably be a better land speed racer, so we might try that 😀
Excellent engineering! Perfectly executed 👍🏽👌🏽👍🏽 Respect to all of you!
Thank you very much, we really do appreciate that! 😁
This my friends puts a whole new meaning on the idea of there's no replacement for displacement!!!!
Exactly 😀
@@TheMeteorInterceptor For this engine, you will need a starter just to start fuel pump!
You know this is the business when everyone has to wear ear protection. Congratulations to all involved.
Thank you very much! :-D
Sweet sound!!
Thank you very much! :-)
You are wonderfully crazy! I gotta love all those Volvo 740/940 wagons laying around. I have two, including my 740 Turbo Flyin’ Moose endurance racing car 👍
Thank you very much! 👍😃
This is absolute madness! And I mean that in the best possible way. Bravo!
Thank you very much 😀
This is an insane build!! I love it!!!!
Thank you very much! Make sure to subscribe to our RUclips channel so that you can see our updates! :-D
This car will give a new definition to the term "understeer"!
😂
The full spec military humv will have more comfortable interior when it's done than this!!! At what point will you add the wings!! And 6 brownings? ?
It’s not about comfort
@@br1xh my sarcasm has fallen on deaf ears:)
Fucx the comfort sometimes the desire to have overrules the intellect :) peace brother!! I share the enthusiasm here:)
You are absolutely right, this will not be very comfy! 😁
I can imagine that that shop will be full of brand new diffs, axles and driveshafts whenever it finally gets runnin
That might be the case! :-D
CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! youve worked so hard and now youve got a beast of a panther body. Youll go down in history as the largest displacement engine ever put into a panther body..👍👍👍
Thank you very much, we really do appreciate all the feedback and support from all our followers! 😀
I could see some stone deaf Warboy screaming WITNESS ME as he rips across the wasteland in this
We just posted a new video yesterday! 😃👍
The Double square tube frame looks pretty stout, but what about that transmission crossmember? Looks like 1/4" C channel plate... That will twist around like a pretzel when the torque is applied! I hope you have a plan for this.
Thank you very much! Keep following the build and you will see the construction for the gearbox. The team are used to building dragracers so they are really professional 😀
Feel bad for the tires that’s going to get used for “testing purposes only”🙏🏾😂
🤣
Funny you should say that. I was wondering about the FRONT tires have to carry all that weight! I didn't even think about the rears. LOL
Hell of a rad on that thing.. like the intake pipes . Makes it look old school..
That plumbing work is god tier
Don't miss our new video that is out now! 😃👍
What a Sweet Machine. Looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you very much 😃
Welcome to Sweden.
😁
Dodge throwing hellcats and demons in everything... Then these guys push a big twin turbo V12 crown vic out of the barn😅
👍😁
Sometimes, "Totally insane overkill" just happens to be the appropriate amount of kill for the job. :D
Beautiful work there guys. With twin turbos and 27 litres the thing's going to be a bloody monster !
Thank you very much 😀
Must be those long-ass winter nights. These guys are fkng crazy. In a good way. Jay Leno needs these guys on his show.
It’s been 4+ years in the making. They got the car and engine around September of 2017! And that’s after doing a bunch of research on how they were going to do it.
But yes Covid lockdown and Swedish winters helped speed up the process
Yes, the long winters are the perfect time to work. Jay Leno has a few cars with the same engine 😀
I’m drooling over this thing! Instant sub!!! Cheers from the the States 🇺🇸
Thank you very much! 😀
