    When we are experiencing listening fatigue, we are sometimes tempted to power through and keep going. But it is vital that we give our brains a break. Take some time to step away from the noise and let yourself be in silence. Be mindful of background noise. If you have a choice of location, choose an area that is quiet and has good acoustics. Also, be aware of the laws in your country and how they protect people with disabilities. What accommodations are you entitled to? There are different forms of technology that can help you hear and block out background noise. Or you can get captioning provided. Familiarize yourself with what's available and the resources you are entitled to.
