  • We gotta talk about TikTok. With over a billion users, it's inevitable that some nutrition b.s. is going to be spread around. But TikTok is absolutely saturated with toxic diet culture messages and dangerous nutrition information is being spread by anyone and everyone.

I especially love the "If you can't pronounce it, you shouldn't eat it" tip because first of all, try pronouncing all the amino acids or vitamins. Second of all, I take an equivalent of AP chemistry so I can probably pronounce most of what ingredient lists say. By that logic, I could eat everything while my dyslexic friend couldn't eat edamame.

Misleading vids are far too popular. I appreciate your comments and clarification. Fact checking and debunking the nonsense is so refreshing. Thank you!

Let’s talk about the run-on sentence… making English teachers everywhere happy. Loved the debunking in the video!

Can you a post a video about eating with having high cholesterol, and getting over the fear of causing those LDL numbers to rise? High cholesterol runs hard in my family, along with heart issues (my dad had his first heart attack when he was only 46). I'm currently on Lipitor for the cholesterol, which has been helpful, but I know I had taken some pretty drastic measures to get those numbers to come down, which has also affected me mentally.

I am fully nutrition illiterate. Can you make a video going into what you mean when you say more goes into a calorie deficit?

What you say are common foods can be pretty misleading. Common for who? Americans over the past 40 or 50 years? Or common like all of human existence? I appreciate what you are attempting to do and I understand the approach. But I will tell you that your strategy gives the masses a reason to continue to eat Cheetos and for lunch. Two things can be true at the same time. 1 small bag of Cheetos will not take years off of a healthy individuals life but eat that shit every day and be 75lbs overweight and you will most likely end up with some health issues and you might die from something that was avoidable. You think your being logical but you are really just on the opposite side of the crazy coin.
Eat primarily a whole foods diet. Exercise 3 to 5 days a week.
    Drink lots of water.
Try to get 8 hours of sleep.
If you can not adhere to this most basic routine than seek out a therapist and keep trying. You got this and don't need to be in some weird camp to make the changes that will make you happier and healthier.
