At first glance I thought hey, the blue trail of 2 stroke smoke is missing until you mentioned ebike. I sure do miss scenic Washington since we moved to Arizona. There is just something about those old Hudsons. They were really built and had great lines. It's too bad the company didn't survive. Thanks for bringing us along Waylon!
I miss Washington state as well. I was born there and lived on the west side and the east. Such diverse topography from mountains to flat land and from rainforest to desert. I miss the Douglass Fir forests of the Tacoma- Seattle area with scenic Mt. Rainier as well as the rolling wheatfields near Spokane. I left for the south central US in 1995. It's great to see the semi-arid mountains of the Wenatchee area on these videos. My parents had a good friend that lived there in town so I'm familiar with the dry landscape speckled with the many orchards in the area.
Some coworkers are using electric scooters from distant parking spots to the job site. Saves time and walking to and (tired) fro. That one seems to have all the features I'm thinking are important. Fairly large wheels for crashless bumps, good brakes, a seat for an adult, and a lunch basket! Plus it has been quality evaluated by a friend I whose opinion i trust.. I'm saving my nickels. That Hudson is rare, roadworthy, and cool. Seems like anything running and legal draws a good price nowadays. I won't be surprised if somebody ain't drooling lover their checkbook right now.😊
It’s always fun to watch you and see what’s up! I turned seventy this year and finally “bought a long time dream. My friend from Port Orchard, passed away last year and his daughter sold me his 1939 Studebaker commander. It has a 250 chev six with a turbo 400. It’s painted purple. Pretty car. Only thing that was bad, was I had to leave my home in Caldwell Id and drive to Yuma Az in July and load it in 125degree in the shade. If I ever head to Port Orchard, I’ll have to take the turn off to look you up! Happy rat rodding!
Dang nice scooter, especially for the price. I got us a pair of e-bikes, they are handy especially when the camper is a long way from the blacksmith shop (like it will be next weekend.) Like I used to say when I had my Suzuki, "You don't ride a scooter because you want to be cool, you ride a scooter because you already are cool."
Son you have arrived. All your hard work editing and just ur great personality u earned it. I know you pretty well and good stuff by you is good stuff for all us old rodders to ride when we break down yeee hawww
What a treat, a '27 Hudson with a vintage operator taking us on a tour of scenic Washington. Thank You Mister Coates. The test review of the scooter would have been much better with Noah doing the camera work. 😅 Best Wishes to You and Your Family Ken...
You do way better commercials than the advertisers do , Waylon ! Lol . What a beauty , that sure is a nice car ! Love it ! Very well done , & maintained !
Real cool car here in new Zealand there are a few 28 essex I have 2 30 Plymouths love them what did you guys do replacement wooden wheels like the brake drums to fit the solids on it you should keep it man alive it runs very well
@@ronjohnstonaustralia2417 it is hard to say what automobile your motormeter was on because them old motormeters was used on several automobiles back in the old days.
The radiator cap temp gauge was called "Moto-Meter".this one probably not original, it looks like a Boyce- with the gradations faded long ago worth about $400 in Uncle $am coupons (E-bay)
Hudson really had some of the most stylish vehicles right up until the end. So many designs way ahead of their time. Too bad they didn't do an engine upgrade in the 50s...
That "Temperature" gauge ... I see 2 have commented "motometer" ... I seem to remember another name ... a "slang" name that it was known as ... well I remember 1/2 of it ... the 2nd half; "GLASS" but the first half 🤔IDK 🤔... it was something "catchy" though.
Think they called the radiator cap on the Hudson, a Roadmaster, or Travel Moniter.... My Grandpa told me years ago, I can't remember n he's long gone now.
No offence to Noa but I was looking at the background all through the first bit - wonderful scenery. Also the Hudson is great and the music was fan-tast-ic!
Love the Hudson, but not too sure about the front seats...maybe a bench seat from a '49-'50 Ford pickup upholstered to match the back seat would look good in there. Mama said if I buy that, my '51 Ford 8N has to go. I want to put an OOOGAH horn on the 8N. She's a Parade Queen.
a bench seat would look good but that shroud behind the seat is solid..so the little "thin back" tractor seats allows for more leg room. Jacks a big guy but when you buy it, you can put whatever you want in it! right!? haha
I have a guarded opinion of electric cars. There are too many people on the roads who shouldn't be, and "Autopilot" isn't quite good enough yet. But I bought an electric riding mower, mainly because it's quieter and the only maintenance is checking the air in the tires and changing blades when needed. No oil changes, gas cans, spark plugs. It does a good job on my yard, and I'm glad I got it. I've only had it a year, but so far so good. I'm old, but I'm not a Luddite. Thanks for the review on the scooter. I'm not in the market for one, but I like the idea. All the best to you.
Electric bikes will become the rage- until a horrible rash of devastating fires spreads across the USA,and it has already started as the news produces the stories NOTHING puts out a lithium ion battery fire, and their chargers start fires too. No way,Jose. Thumbs down quickly Get real bike, and pedal it for the health benefits

You live in beautiful country!
Hey Waylon ol buddy Hi again from the D Mi 😎 USA and thanks for sharing this video about the 1927 Hudson 👍🤩💞 it has a lot of potential 🤘
I restored a 1928 Lincoln 9 passenger touring body. It had steel fenders and aluminum body like the Hudson.
Quote: "So... get in, sit down, shut up and hang on!" 😁😁😁 👍👌👏

Ken at 17:25 that is called a Motormeter temperature gauge on that old Hudson Automobile.
I have one in the shed but one of the eagle wings is broken off....any body know what it may be off?

I think NoA liked that Ebike.
Best utube commercial I've seen on e scooter way to go waylon😊
I like that it's not $2000, unlike most of the "eBikes" I've seen.

Your voice is very pleasant on the commercial, perhaps this might be something you could get into, reading commercial ads, for other people?
Cool
Looks good!

Motometer temp cap!!
Hey Waylon......does the Hudson have hydraulic brakes!!
yes
Noa goin for a rip! AL B.
Motometer
Yes sir that what it's called.
Just a guess, but I think that hood ornament is a type of thermometer measuring coolant temperature.....via a sight glass.

Boyce MotoMeter
Got a question? When is the E Rat Rod coming
Oh, I hate that V12 sound too. God I hate it. So much. Very, very much.
It's a moto meter
I am not interested in electric vehicles.
