Now what we need is an SSTV receive mode that puts the received image on the UV-K5's screen!

I love my kenwood VC-H1 - i'm suprised that modern radios havent incorprated this and that 2M SSTV doesnt have more activity on it.

Total respect to the Devs , I mean I've said before , anyone who complains about a radio that is worth not even a 10th to what a Empty Yaesu Handheld Box on eBay costs , they need to really come down to Planet Earth . I bet the development rooms at The Big Boys factories are in talks like they're planning another Moon Landing .Great video ,and respect to Radio Ham Guy across the pond 73s M0DHA

The Bekken radio chip contains memory, so no.
The secondary eprom is for channel memory and is not addresable, would be the same with SDcard.

UV-5R is a popular Baofeng model. Quansheng does not have this model number. QS model is UV-5R Plus. Some might get confused (despite this could be QS' intention to gain more sales ).

Kinda cool, but if you can only transmit text via a SSTV image and not an actual picture, it seems kind of pointless, its just a really SLOW way to send a text message

In an emergency the cellphone grid can easily be overwhelmed by cell traffic.
Having a 30$ back up isnt a terrible idea.
