    Another great video! I have not drank alcohol in 3 years. I was self medicating with wine to deal with my stress then. I noticed on the weekends i was drinking more, gaining more weight, eating like crap; and woke up puffy and swollen with wine face. I feel so much better being sober and don't even miss drinking. I hope if someone reads this and has trouble with drinking they get help.; because alcohol is a depressant and can lead to grave consequences. God bless. Thanks for the great video!☺

      The problem is that tbe alcohol is toxic to your body which is why it has to break it down like he explained in the video. Whenever its intoduced your body prioritizes breaking it down and puts food metabolization on the back burner until youve processed the alcohol. So no whatever foods you add makes no difference. Your body doesnt care about whatever else youve consumed until its removed the alcohol that would kill you otherwise.

    True. Good quality alcohol+control you tend to drink less, Vodka and other clear you drink fast and MORE which causes more long term side effects. Half Gallon vodka is cheap compared to high end cognac. The half gallon vodka will be more dangerous to the body than the 750ml of Remy Martin, more alcohol in your body, the harder the liver has to work.

      Dont worry, he got that part wrong. Dark beer is typically LESS hoppy than some others. IPA is literally defined as a hoppy beer. Some are "triple hopped"
      "Brewed with hop extract"
      And so on...
      Guinness is low in hops, high in malt. It still does contain hops though.
      It is also less alcoholic than even a Miller lite, other light, whatever light.
      So, your beer of choice is actually the best in avoiding these problems.

      That's a good decision based on your symptoms! It would have been irresponsible of you to continue drinking with your symptoms!

    So what I get from this as a 52 year old woman who needs more estrogen, I should drink more! ;-) Thankfully, my drinks of choice are straight tequila or whisky on the rocks.

    The Dark beers usually are not the hoppiest.
    It is IPA, and even more extreme IPAs with labels like
    "Imperial"
    Or "Hop extract"
    And so on.
    German Doppelbock, Stouts, Portors, have less hops.
    Basically stay away from IPAs.
    They're overrated anyway.

    Alcohol...big issue ..I like rosato wine once in while in family dinners 😌 . I'm now 2 weeks on keto, the next week its my father 79th birthay dinner...if I drink wine 1 or 2 cups it's going to be wild or bad?

    You got that wrong about the german beers, stay away from pilsener and IPA's and the like, german dark beer is more on the lower hopped side. Same goes for stout, dark ale etc. The bitterness in them comes from dark roastet malts. Brewer speaking here😂

    • @SachaBernasconi
      @SachaBernasconi 5 лет назад

      that's good to know as I prefer darker beers! Beer is the only alcohol I really like and don't want to cut off completely yet.

    • @matthewhoward5366
      @matthewhoward5366 5 лет назад +1

      Yea I too thought that was backwards, the darker beers are malty and less hops even the German wheat beers are not very hoppy. But Voodoo Ranger Imperial is very hoppy and my all time favorite! Lol

    Thanks interesting video, when I went on keto I dropped all the stouts,beer,cider's I now just drink whisky either on its own or with ice. Also I try not to eat since learning about the body and how it prioritises alcohol intake I figured why give it extra shit to deal with so i'll eat before hand then a few hours later start to drink. It doesn't always work and sometimes I end up eating but yeah I feel it makes a difference.
