For years a T6 Oberth was requested by the community, however, since it came out not too many players continue to fly it. I decided to see just how high I could get my Control skill on this ship. Even though it is still an Oberth, this ship is a solid science vessel and can handle high-end builds and content with ease.
This video is dedicated to the Star Trek Online Community Manager Ambassador Keal. For all the years you were bugged by the community to get this ship into the game, I hope that I have shown that it is a very good ship and worth the wait!

Great vid Mikey! Always fun to run ISE with you guys. Really beginning to turn this group into one helluva ISE team.
Nice build, and great content! Isn't the delphic tear generator a lockbox console which can be aquired on the excange, i don't remember it being a lobi console!
Thx for creating that awesome content!
You are right it is a lockbox console, I did a derp!
@@MaddawgMikeyGaming it happens, boy🫢, it seems i've watched too many auggie vids, when i'm startn to correct other content creators😉! Don't be too hard on yourself because of it! Thx again for that great content you create!
the only thing that don't call to much my attention is this DPS things only work in 2 or 3 TFOs but i love to see an Oberth in action 😁👍🏻
There are only 2 TFO'S that are currently used for the DPS metrics. However I have taken this build into any other TFO'S and had great success with it!
@@MaddawgMikeyGaming yup i see that calculator only work in static NPC i think, but the build works in any TFO,one thing i want to ask, that build only work in a Science character or can be used in a Tactical if have selected the 2 control points in the skill tree?
@@martinarg1979 you most definitely can use it on a Tac with great success. I personally do all of my science builds on my science toon because she has all the meta traits and consoles for science builds.
@@MaddawgMikeyGaming great,i have most of the traits from the ships and i have no problem with lobi items so i can copy that, the only thing that can be a little different are the bonuses from endeavors, but sooner or later i get it all maxed 😁
Hi Martin!
There are a couple TFOs we use to measure DPS. The benchmarks from those TFOs are only comparible to benchmarks from the exact same TFOs. So you would compare a number you set in Infected Space Elite to other ISE runs, but not to Cure, or Khitomer, or anything else.
However if you perform well with high numbers in ISE, then you are very likely to have an easier time with other TFOs.
Important! As a Tactical captain you will do better in a control/epg build than a science captain would.
Why'd you choose to focus on control instead of EPG?
I was understanding that Ctrl above 200 was severely diminished and as such aim for a 200 Ctrl+400 EPG.
Hi Brian! CtrlX is only capped in regards to the seize of the Gravity Well. 400 CtrlX will max out a GW3 at 12km.
However, there is no cap for the pulling power of a GW, and there are absolutely no caps on any other control ability.
Keep in mind that Grav Wells do more damage the closer the target is to the center of the anomalies. the faster targets move to the center, the more damage they will take. Most other anomalies do a lot more damage than GW, but have much smaller radiius and shorter durations.
so having higher CtrlX GW will increase your damage indirectly but significantly.
What Sarc said lol
Also the higher your CtrlX is the stronger the pull your control abilities have, I've always found it very amusing to see ships being pulled across the screen at speeds faster then full impulse lol
