9:10 The funny thing is, as far as I know, the majority of the plagiarism accusations weren't even about their music, but rather about their concepts, clothes, hairstyles... it was ridiculous
when I was new to the fandom I kept hearing about these plagiarism accusations and finally went to research them one day bc I didn't want to support that kind of stuff. When I found out what sort of things people were claiming was mother-effing plagiasrism my mind went blank for a second.

the worst thing about the plagiarism hashtag is that antis purposefully timed it so it would trend when their seoul hyyh:epilogue concert ended. what was supposed to be a wonderful joyful day turned into one of the worst days in bts history
I think you might like to know BTS almost disbanded twice since they debuted. The first one was during N.O. Era in 2013. Their company and them were in a tough spot. They had no money plus some troubles inside the company. And now mid-2018, BTS re-signed with Big Hit Entertainment for another 7 years contract before their original contract (also 7 years) was done! All of us (ARMYs) thought "wow they really must trust their company" and "yay we will have our boys for more years together" but in reality, just like Jin said during his speech at MAMA 2018, they were going through hard times (probably from all the attention and pressure they been receiving from the world's eyes) and thinking of disbanding (again). It's ironic how happy we were about them sign-in up again with Big Hit when truth be told...we ALMOST lost them! This makes me treasure them as a group more. The way they rely on each other and us, their fans, just show how much the trust us and know that together they can overcome any hardship. I'm proud of them as a group and of their achievements. However, I'm way more proud of them as individuals. U know how EXO's motto is "We are One"? Their motto shows how together they are powerful and strong. Well, BTS is "We are Bulletproof" and together there's nothing that can stop them! Thanks for the reactions 💜

As for reacting to the MVs, please go in what ever order you want. Most ARMY will try to get you to react to the story through out, but that is a long road with many theories. BTS is finally releasing a webtoon to explain everything within the story, but I would like you to focus on enjoying the music and art of each MV before diving into the beast of a story. As for live reactions... don't. Many other reactors have had issues with copyright strikes on the live performances. Please also react to the dance practices.
When you decide to react to Spring Day, please also react to the explanation video done by bulletproof vibes. Careful, it might make you cry.

I agree I would suggest watching videos in whatever order you want. You mentioned starting oldest to newest and that sounds fun. That way you can see them grow and develop physically, vocally, and musically. If you are curious about live performances, sometimes Big Hit will release BTS focus Bangtan Bombs of their live performances, so those should be safe, but if you choose not to react to those I completely understand. Most reactors I watch react to those or fan cams to try and avoid copyright claims, but I'm not sure if it always works. But definitely watch some live performances at some point, even if you don't react to them! Same thing with interviews. I highly recommend you watch their flinch challenge with James Corden and their appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Totally worth some of your free time. You can always share your thoughts on them in the start of a video after watching them to avoid copyright. If/when you react to Ddaeng, Bapsae, and Idol, you should also react to them explained by a Korean on the RUclips channel DKDKTV. It's great and they give you insight into the lyrics that you wouldn't understand merely from English translations of the lyrics. Also whenever you want, please react to BTS is not a group, BTS is a family. Please keep up the great videos!
Yeah i.a. go with what interests you, I just wanted to add that Suga & Spice (you watched their 'Who is BTS' introduction video) also did video guides/summaries to BTS music and the Wings MV story-line and symbolism in case you get interested after you watched some BTS MVs :)
BTS's followers on Twitter just hit 18 million. I realised EXO has only 4.68 million followers but a majority of their fandom still hates on BTS claiming to be more popular and successful which is really sad. It's refreshing to see open-minded and friendly EXOLS like you. As an ARMY I've subscribed to you.
Also, EXOLS really need to try and clear searches because the first thing that pops up when you search for exo is "exo plagiarism" (Just trying to help) The members of EXO work hard too and I personally wouldn't want any artist to see such negative shit on the internet regardless whether I support them or not. End of the day they are also a bunch of hard-working boys so I hope EXOLS help clear up their search too just like how ARMYs did for BTS. Peace!

I am happy that some of EXO-L like you are trying to understand more about BTS. I respect EXO too, I know they went through a lot too, all other IDOL groups went through a tough time to become IDOLS too, Korean K-POP industry are very harsh and difficult.
For BTS was a little harder back then because they didn't have much broadcast time and their performances got cut off, they were called in to replace other group who wasn't attending at that time. So people in the industry didn't pay much attention to them, I think it was a little bit harder for them.
For the storyline, BTS planned it since their debut, some of their MVs since debut links together until present MVs. It's overwhelming for new audiences. They just released a comic book "SAVE ME", it talks about their storyline, if you have time you can go to webtoon and check it out. So far prologue and 3 chapters have been released.
A note about their appearances on the talk shows. Most of them they weren't supposed to have a seat on the "couch" so to speak. It was supposed to just be a performance but the interest for them was so huge that the shows knew they had to give them more time. Another reason their message is important is in the times we live in, loving yourself is hard with so much bullying and hate going on especially for kids and teens. Nope not just you, in fact that was the press release Hitman Bang (the CEO of Big Hit) put out. He said we have no money so how do we buy up millions of albums. But it could be believed because that practice had been done in the kpop industry for decades. That kind of corruption was one of the reasons Hitman Bang founded Big Hit. He worked in the industry and wanted to see some changes. Oh no warning for you, we had to watch live and bawl our eyes out for the rest of the day so you have to join us lol.

Jhope or Suga cries and I'm done. I don't sympathetic cry, but I do when it's someone who usually doesn't cry because then it just breaks my heart. In BTS that's Jhope who is usually all smiles and laughter and Suga who is shy to express his emotions openly so is usually pretty stoic. Jungkook' shy too but that just means any time he starts to speak from the heart he bursts into tears. It works like a charm 😝

Their storyline is not a one way street. They haven't told us anything about it but us army have pieced it all together in several different theories. BigHit released a webtoon that is now explaining their Bangtan universe that has been going on for 6 years now.
If you want to go in an order just let me know and I can tell you the order but since they released the webtoon so I don't think you need to watch them in any order now.

Some of their songs have an explanation video with it because some have a lot of Korean wordplay and symbolism.

Please if you are expecting that perfect visuals and perfect choreo is what made bts blow in the US and the world i want to say that thats not the main atraction of them i mean theyre handsome and cute but the main reazon of their success is that they make you move with their passionate music: they really produce and write what they want to say to their fans or to the world in the most honest way. And thats why we all love them we just empathise so much with them to the point that sudenley becomes so natural to love them and that makes us want to contribute to the movement they have created since youth when they were pleading for someone to listen what they had to say!!!! I cry every time I watch their speech. That part always gets me
That was V singing the first lines of Truth Untold. The suits are african prints which they wore for part of the Idol MV as they use both African and Korean beats. Free concert tickets now ARMY are super lucky if we can get a concert ticket. People need to learn that just because you dont win an award you think you should win that you need to be graceful about things. The colour of the Bangtan bombs doesnt show properly on the video they are purple as V told ARMY that Purple was the colour of trust so they purple us ARMY and we purple BTS. Crying is okay they made all of us cry for hours after hearing this speech as none of us realised they were struggling with the pressure and the fame. We are all so happy that they kept going and placed their trust in us we will support them whatever happens.
Just so you know, I watched an interview and bang pd was saying how he wanted to create idols who are actually idol. Who people can actually look up to. I think he has succeeded.
Also bts aren't just nobodies, but they were the most hated. People use to even make fun of their names. They were treated very badly, and that's why they rarely go on variety shows now. Instead bighit just created their own.
Even that touching speech, haters were saying it was scripted. That all of those emotions were fake. So dumb!

BTS help me so much with my depression and anxiety, I can’t thank them enough. When I listen to their voices, their music, when I see them, I don’t know but it feels like a warm cup of hot chocolate on my heart.
When I feel distressed they help me. They really really mean a lot to me and they’re such an inspiration.

The Army Bombs used to just have a white light, but all through the Wings tour Army from different parts of the world created colorful oceans with Army Bombs by using different colored plastic bags... I think it was inspired by this that the next version of Army Bombs could be any color.

When they were in America they met very famous rappers and they were trained, it was funny how they cast girls on the streets, I just watched today with my sister and we laugh so much because V casted most girls.

Just for you to know, just like with EXO storyline going on on their MVs and VCRs and teasers, BTS has their own labelled as BU content (BTS Universe) that goes around not in chronological order (is more like pieces to the puzzle) in the videos, VCRs, ECT. They even released lil notes in the albums packages, and recently they uploaded a webtoon on Line/Naver that it's about their storyline that's has been going on since debut and Big Hit just put the official book called "The Notes 1" about the same story on their web store for pre-orders lol basically ARMYs finally will be able to confirm all the theories with have been accumulating for years haha

I assure you all their music is like that - they contribute directly to the lyrics or composition so there's a piece of them in all their songs. Girl I cried so hard when I reacted to the actual speech! ruclips.net/video/CTXmhTJ6Ptk/видео.html Seeing JHope cry was a domino effect for the members (first one to speak receiving the award and our sunshine boy). None of the members like seeing each other cry but JHope especially because he is usually upbeat and happy go lucky. Jin being the one to say they considered disbanding is huge. He too is upbeat and likes to keep the mood light and happy. He generally wouldn't open up like that with something so personal especially in an awards setting. And V broke down crying when Jin spoke and I just lost it completely (red hair and red suit). He went through a really tough year personally and the year before that. October 2017, one of his best friends Lee Ui Soo who was the same age as him and a successful model committed suicide. He left no note and no signs that he was struggling, it was a huge shock to his friends and family. Then in December 2017 just a few months later Jonghyun from SHINee committed suicide. BTS like many kpop groups paid their respects at his funeral. Then in 2018 V's grandfather died. He grew up living with his grandparents and parents in the same home. He had already lost is grandmother a few years before. Not to mention BTS now having so much pressure on them to keep surpassing their own accomplishments and dealing with their own pressures they place on themselves. It became almost too overwhelming. I saw a clip of V after the awards show on the carpet when they were trying to take pictures and he couldn't stop crying, it was like the flood gates were opened.
Like you I am new to Koop. I started with BTS and found other groups that I enjoy. This was because of the way interacted together. There shouldn’t be fan wars when the groups are friends

I recommended you watch the Mama speech 2018 but you already did and cried with us as well. Now for some fun stuff: watch Namjoon Being Done With BTS’ English for some crack to laugh. And it might take a while for you to do all mvs. If you’re interested in the BTS Universe(BU) the storyline that goes on throughout the mvs, i think you can find compilation videos or playlists on youtube specifically explaining the symbolisms. I will make some exception suggestions tho: Singularity and Stigma(V’s solo songs since he seems to be your bias), Idol(latest comeback since you watched the recent videos already) + Idol explained by a Korean from DKDKTV since it’s a song with Korean culture attributes, then Melon Music awards BTS full performance 2018 coz it was objectively epic, Ddaeng(+explained by a korean by dkdktv coz you will be amazed by this song and their lyricism after he explains) , Spring Day mv(+ theory video with sewol ferry, just search for the exact words you’ll find the video) this song is generally accepted as the ‘Queen’ of all bts songs by army and it’s STILL on the chart for over 100 weeks which is a record(2 years it never went off the chart ) blood sweat and tears mv(and explanations video with Demian references), i need you (19+ mv- but this video heavily features the BU storyline so if you get more interested in that please refer to xceleste’s bts timeline video), the truth untold(with english caps and reading the story behind it), mic drop , Euphoria mv(again its like a recap/snippets of all mvs related to the BU-Jungkooks solo) then you can start getting to the older songs(my suggestion anyways) the reason i wrote these suggestions is that; bts’s songs and artistic style changed so much from their debut days that i think you should cover what made them ‘bts’ i guess(armys dont come at me for this please, some of these suggestions were the songs that made them mainstream and stand out, im not belittling other songs at all) so covering the basic ‘cornerstones’ first coz i saw some reactors that started from the oldest ones and were not that engaged with them and got bored or something. A newcomer might appreciate the ‘biggest’ first. I’m just getting into exo, the first 4 songs I ever bought of them were all their most popular songs. So since i’ve been following you for a little while now and getting your personality a bit, this order might be the best for you (again my suggestion, i hope you wouldn’t find this demanding or annoying)

You can react to the live performances from Bangtan bombs, they are supposed to be safe, because they are from Big hit! For the MVs, I would start from I need U MV (original version), that's when they started their storyline. Before that, they had their hiphop warriors and school boys looks, I'm not sure you're ready for that.. But you can check out No More Dreams which is their debut song :)

But I personally recommend watching their variety show Run BTS! on V Live and their series Bon Voyage (3 seasons) were they go on vacation together. Squishy Min Yoongi has introduction videos for the members but just know there are just a few inaccuracies but people will let you know what they are and it does mention the romantic shipping that fans do that I really dislike. but these are still funny and you do get more of a since of their personalities too.
