My friends and I were there for Pride, too! It was absolutely crazy. Just wish the weather had been a bit better, all that rain was ridiculous!

I have actually never been to a pride event. I have sent checks annually to help fund several, and contribute monthly to lgbtqia+ charities, but have never made it. Some i just forgot the day, or wasn't feeling well, but mostly it was same time i was invited for a special mine tour or special event with famous gemologist or lapidarist etc.. i was never in the closet at nine i was kissing boys and when asked why I answered simply because they are prettier than girls and by ten i had my first boyfriend. So I have always been out very open i have tattoos in several languages on my shoulders that say gay and the emblem of "the sacred band of thebes" and wear a ring with the logo from ancient Greece. It has just always seemed I'm going to something related to my obsession (gems) at same time or because I don't watch tv i forget about the date. Im only 42 and fully retired from corporate world for a couple years so I will make one soon as long as i don't get invited for a special mine tour or something like that at same time. So Yes I spend all day playing with rocks crystals or minerals and the occasional miner lol.
Great to see you all had a great time in Europe. As you now know it is a very great place to visit as there is so much to do mainly due to the population density as well as all of the past history and culture and it is so very easy to get around with mass transit. AMS is only the tip of the iceberg with respect to a gay scene in Europe and no city in Europe can claim that they are the gay capitol as they are all very very well desirable. When we speak about the war in Ukraine and it has to do with the European progression of society, something that Pres. Putin cannot compete with. One day he will pass and then Russia will become closer to joining the European Union. Now that all three of you have visited Europe you can understand the standard of living that exist there and it is very high for everyone, not the select few. The celebratory scene in Europe is by far the best and now you know.
