Thank goodness I found this video 😇 also just remember the last person that had the car could of put them in the other way around too, so do the same but turn mirror other way access from inside your car as it’s a tight stop.

well that was a way to do it for sure, saw another dude taking off the mirror glass
Everything was right on my Mk4 except the clip was on the INSIDE. So you have to move the mirrors all the way OUT, open the window and access the clip while sitting in the seat (2010 mk4 1.8 tdci titianium)

W polifcie trzeba wymontować szkło lusterka aby dostać się do śrubki która trzyma lampkę.
a w przedlifcie tak jak tutaj nie ma tej srubki ziom ? chce se zmienic

Bei mir mußte ich das Spiegelglas vorsichtig abziehen ( ist nur geklemmt).Das Umfeldlicht ist innen noch mit einer Schraube fixiert.
Wie hast du das Glas abgekommen? Bei mir sitzt das richtig fest und ich habe Angst das zu zerbrechen

Damn, why can't it be that easy on the Focus? :(
For the Focus you have to squeeze a screwdriver under the clip which will likely scratch the bottom plastic shell of the mirror and then you have to disconnect two flimsy wires instead of a whole plug.
hy! Can't you just replace the bulb?
If the buld is out you can surely replace it with another, but if you were to put a led bulb in there, it will probably flicker.
To make life easier. Just pop the mirror off. It’s just clips in.

Just move mirror to side and use your fingers ton pull off gently not will pop off
