Made this chicken curry today! Topped w fried onions too!!! And made your dal w carmelized leeks and garlic. Thank you for the recipes! Better than eating out
you are so right! some dishes have to be eaten with your fingers! anytime i make sri lankan food i have to use my fingers. your stuff is yum. thank you.
I’m sure this is fab! But, just to say- your Italy tours were wonderful!!! Pls return soon. Maybe add in Sardinia….. Dreaming here of all! Thank you for all your work to teach us so many techniques, etc.
What kind of #cinnamon sticks do you use? I've heard there are two (maybe more?) kinds, one lighter & one darker and there's a difference, but I don't know what the difference is! 🤷♀️🙂 And... YUM! Chicken for supper it is! 😋
There is Cinnamon which is light in color, and tightly rolled, mild ,and sweet in flavor, then there is Cassia which is darker in color, loosely rolled, often just a curve, and it has a stronger taste. Most Indian supermarkets in the US sell Cassia, but what Chetna uses only she can tell you.
Looks wonderful will add it to the list of your recipes to work through. Personally I'm very sensitive to mace and nutmeg so for anyone not used to it please be careful. A single blade of mace cooked and then removed should be fine. If you accidentally eat a whole one you might get a 12 to 18 hour sleepless psychotic trip!
In the last year I have eaten more Indian food than I have in my whole life! (I'm 57)...I didn't even KNOW I liked Indian cuisine!!!!!! 😂
So happy you're back in your kitchen and this is such a knockout recipe! Yum!
Another fantastic recipe , thank you so much ! 🤩
Yummy chicken that looks so delicious, thanks for sharing Chetna
Once again, standout receipe. Made it, as instructed, was fantastic! Thank you for another weapon in my culinary arsenal :)

I just looked at the video again, and it looked as if she used Cinnamon, not Cassia.

It goes down broken, so it doesn't matter if it's falling apart - that's what my mom says.
I would love to see a prawn Pathia Please 🙏
Made it today after a nights marinating along with your cumin rice recipe.
Both delicious ❤❤❤
