    Hi everyone, The banner at the top should read “2/5” not “2/4” 😂 also, the 88 hand it should be the 4c not the 4h. Hope you all enjoy the hands!!

    JJ hand. Bigger preflop if going to 3bet. 40% pot bet on this board with entire range. your range is pretty narrow (AQ+/TT+) which hits this board with AQ or has an overpair. you get value from some worse pairs (i.e. 76/65, 55/44), you deny giving free cards to AK, AJ, AT. Also having Jh is good because you negate opponent having KhJh and AhJh.

    A3 suited stealing the blinds is a really really good result if you break it down and look at your bb/100 hand win rate

    if 100bb deep and open is to 3x, optimal size from sb is 12x at least.
    And no, no street where you should have fired with AsQs @4:03. Flop you are going to be checking a lot but you do have some value hands and you have some 0% equity hands (I.e. 76 of spades, J-Q-K high hands) where you can fire small (35% pot) as a bluff along for value with flushes and overpairs that contain a diamond. If you had faced a bet on the flop of any reasonable size (35% or less), then you can fold your hand. And depending on the player, you can even fold this hand even if opponent bets 25% pot.

    AQss: I think you played this fine. I would have checked it down too.
    JJ villain jam: With no reads, I think the fold is fine. If the top card had been lower than the J, or if I knew villain likes to do this with AK, the decision would have been more difficult.
    AT: I think this bet size was probably about as big as you can go. Villain checked turn and then bet TINY on the river. That screams thin value. When you raise, you won't be called by much, and a larger raise may not get called at all.
    AJ: I am raising this from BB. I don't want to play MW with an offsuit AJ.
    Remember the Hungry Horse betting "formula"!

      That’s the problem, I don’t remember all the Hungry Horse betting formulas….yet. I’ve been spending 4 hours per week drilling the default bet sizes IP and OOP. I’ll get there.
      As always, I appreciate your feedback and insights. Very helpful! 🙏

    SB 3 bet in theory should be 4x + cold callers. Trying to minimize out of position play, and take it down without allowing your opponent to realize equity. Especially with a hand like AQss, it’s fine if they fold, fine if they call. Either way it’s +EV

    Try mixing up your preflop raise a bit… you do a standard 15.00. Then with AA 35.00 - sort of a tell to me on starting hand range. Good luck at the tables!

    • @panicpoker

      The $35 raise with AA was because the $10 UTG straddle was on. Sorry if I forgot to include that in the voiceover or in the action on the side panel.

    only feedback on this video, is build the pot. Especially when you have the nuts early or nutted draws. Realize your equity, worst case they fold and take it down early, best case you get stacks in and maximize profit. I played 2/5 a lot on my trips to bellagio...they will not give you money freely. Take down pots and move on, dont let them see free cards

    I think on the 932 all Diamonds with your AQ you could ave made a small C-Bet and probably pickedit up right there.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад +1

      I think betting small on the flop is probably good. I’ve been experimenting with checking more of my range OOP. This spot I think I could default from that and bet like 25-35% pot.

    Hi, big fan of your vlog. I'm coming to Vegas for a poker trip next week (Sun-Wed). I typically play 1-3, but thinking of stepping up and taking a shot at 2-5 for some sessions. Any advice on best (soft) place/time of day to play 2-5? How much different is the 2-5 from 1-3? Any advice on adjustments?

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад

      Thank you 🙏 appreciate the support.
      I would recommend Bellagio for $2/5 for a couple of reasons. The first is that the max buy-in is $500 , which makes it more appealing to tourists and less intimidating in general. The second is that the $2/5 games tend to be a bit softer at Bellagio.
      Aria and Wynn $2/5 is a $1500 max buy-in. You get a lot more grinders/regs at those games and they are not nearly as soft. MGM is uncapped so that can be hit or miss. Horseshoe only runs $2/3 and Resorts World doesn’t get much action although it is a really nice poker room.
      My suggestion is take a shot at the $2/5 at bellagio. It doesn’t play that much different than the $1/3 games. There will be more 3betting preflop than you see at $1/3. Players are more likely to stack off a bit lighter as well. But that’s all good stuff because there is money being put in the pot 😁

      @@panicpoker Thanks, appreciate the advice. Home base will be the Venetian, but will be walking across the road to play some sessions at Bellagio. I heard the Horseshoe has $500 cap at the $2/5 as well. Is there a noticable difference with WSOP going on?

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад

      @@matthewsell1889 yes, there is definitely a noticeable difference with the WSOP going on. The wait lists are long and there is plenty of action.
      According to Poker Atlas, Horseshoe runs $1/3, $2/3, and $3/5. Looks like $2/3 is a $500 cap and $3/5 is a $1k cap.

    During wsop do the overflow tables have automatic shuffle? I usually play at aria but it sucks during wsop with uncomfortable chairs/tables and all hand shuffle for low stakes

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад +1

      The overflow tables do not have auto shuffle. They put 8 tables in the sports book but it’s about the same as Aria to be honest. Not the most comfortable.

    I love that you’re 3 betting more frequently and playing more aggressively. I do think you are choosing too small of sizes most of the time though. Remember to make it a touch bigger when you are out of position or have callers.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад

      I agree, I need to size up, especially OOP with multiple callers.

    • @nicholi2789

      @@panicpoker most people teach that it’s 3x plus 1x for every dead caller in between when you’re in position, and 4x plus 1x for every call when you’re out of position. I think this is a good rule to live by.

    Why continue betting small on the turn with that first hand? If he has a queen he's probably never folding, but certainly not to a small bet. It seems like a way ahead way behind situation so are you bluffing or value betting? It worked out but I'm just curious.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  2 месяца назад

      The small bet will get all strong stuff in villains range to raise and his Qx will continue to call. You are correct that villain will call with most, if not all, of their one pair Qx hands. By betting small on turn, we can bet large on most rivers and put a ton of pressure on those Qx hands. Our line will look incredibly strong when we 3bet preflop and 3 barrel post flop.

    do not check trip aces. imagine your opponent had QT. you just missed so much value. or Jx of spades. or KQ and now they have a free card. also how do you plan to play a big pot against a weaker Ace when you check the turn.
