You need to learn proper bet ranges you bet to small most times .
@@jameswest-ti1it Bet ranges or do you mean bet sizing?
well played bro, ilove ur explnantion of ur action
Thank you 🙏
Worst play was betting on the nut flush! The only threat were 2 pairs and set. Your raise pre flop which assumed you had at least a high card diamond!
After living in Vegas for about three years, I found the 2/5 and below games there easy. Seems there’s a ton of locals waiting on big hands and tourists. They rarely bluff in these lower games and are quite transparent with their betting sizes. Seems a lot of locals who plays at those stakes play for supplemental income along with their other jobs. Completely different from Dallas and Austin were the aggression caught me off guard.
Would you say the games in Dallas and Austin are better than LV?
A9 is good candidate for the villains call on the last hand
AQdd: Do you think it's likely that someone will bet if you check? If so, check. If not, this was fine. IMO a bet is unlikely on a monotone board. Maybe try smaller, 20 to 25%. QJhh: Why are you betting a much larger % of the pot with a much worse hand on another monotone board? I agree. Bet the turn. K9ss: I'd just fold to villain overbet when turn brings no flush draws and there is a possible straight. Villain will have 2p+ a lot. AQcc: The bet was only 35. You only need to be right 30% of the time. I think villain can have Jx and Qx here. I'd call such a small bet. 76cc: Definitely bet turn.
AQdd: No, I don’t think this board gets stabbed at very often. I think betting smaller ~35-40% pot would be the better sizing option. QJhh: I was thinking purely about playing the player and getting value from literally any diamond in their range. I don’t this player type is capable of folding any diamond and will also call with any pair + a Diamond draw. I should have carried that thought process through on the turn and bet for value.
Ok just j j hand raise to $120 with small raise of $35.
K 9, the flop was a fold to any bet. Drawing dead.
I think your call with the K9 versus a flopped str was maybe a bad call cause at worst he is showing up with 2 pair....the AQ fold on the river was a little nitty....but the best was betting pot with you 76 for a full house. I thought you bet it to Target an Ace to move him off a chop or the pair bigger than 66....I thought that was a great bet size not being results oriented but I think you got the max value
NUTS!
Bellagio 2/5 and Aria 2/5 are completely different ballgames/stakeseven though the blinds are the same. My local 1/2 has a $500 cap. Congrats on playing deeper! Not a bad session with being card dead.
If you’re going to raise pre with 6/9 suited in position betting at least that flop is a must when checked to. At least bet the turn for goodness sake’s.
Don’t like the K9 hand, you aren’t beating much. Don’t like isolating raises with speculative holdings on a call happy table
My fav cards
Betting the nut flush... WHY? building a pot is one thing but that was 👎 but this whole session you kept owning yourself with the guessing whay they got. Next time be aggressive and make them pay for there hands.
Opponents are so much more likely to call flops and turns because of the hope factor. Thats the whole “inelastic” fancy poker jargon people talk about which just means they are more likely to call on a particular street. It’s probably overthinking it.
k9 fishy hand for that flop k10 put $ in..
I agree. I couldn’t help myself though with him only having $150 to call.
First :)
You were indeed first 😂
Why not raise the river? Unless he has clubs, which is unlikely, you beat him. And he might still call with A 10
In the moment I thought it would be too thin to raise for River. Looking back at this hand, I like a raise on the River. I think it’s highly unlikely he has the flush and we can get called by a lot of Jx hands + he might still find a call with 10x hands as well.
bet turn
just bet pot. your not going to bet this flop often. bet large.
I remember I was having a boring session and just about to leave I stayed for the last bomb pot and I bricked every 1 till this one.. I have Q3❤️ long story short 4 of us are all inn3 have flushes and 1 had trips.. I won 3700 pot
Nice win!
QJdd: I'd bet a lot smaller on the flop, around 20, when the effective stack is only 290. Just a preference. WP. 44: You gotta bet the flop when villain checks to you. AKsc: Imo you still bet too large on the flop. I'd bet 10 - 15. AQss: I think you just have to bet larger on the river and hope he has Kx or some other fh that he can't fold. Looked like a fun session! Not a bad win. It can be hard to make money at a MUG where people expect you to play a ton of hands.
The AQ multiway hand feels like a good 4 bet candidate with the cold caller. Great squeeze spot with such a strong hand.
Agree, I think 4bet is the better line in that spot after the player cold calls.
Nice vlog! This was a great meet up game and glad I got to meet you and play with you! I am working on my video still from this event. See you at the tables!
Thanks 🙏 it was a great meet up game. Nice meeting you and looking forward to seeing you at the tables sometime soon!
I think you played the QJdd hand well but you should be betting big on that turn card. Charge any heart draws or straight draws. Don’t let him get there cheap. Also, check back on the river was good. Even without the hearts coming in that hand is only good for two streets of value.
Yep, I think I’m checking back most rivers regardless. I don’t think I’m getting called by worse and risk value owning myself.
Bing bong!
Hi All, in the last hand of the episode, I didn’t check back. I checked turn and opponent checked back. Just wanted to clarify the action. Thank you all for the support!! 🙏
First
Man that KQ was a tight fold. As far as the aces hand goes, I’m never folding my hand on that flop. There are way too many combo draws that would raise that board. That being said, I don’t think you needed to go broke there. I’m probably folding the turn to that size, however I would still call a reasonable size knowing I most likely have some counterfeit outs. The shove was a bit of a punt though. Oh well, happens to us all.
Yeah, the KQ fold was probably a bit too tight. I could probably call and evaluate on the river. Villain did say he flopped the flush if you believe it.
Except you don't know if you're bluffing or value betting.
Nit
You did get the he max you bet yourself he folds you raise at any point he folds
Ou ou ouu🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Okay I’m following up with all your videos. So this is how poker works. lol, I’ll be staying at Bellagio. I’ll play in between drinks and dice.
Don’t follow what I do 😂 have fun in Vegas!
I’m interested, is there a specific reason you chose 2/5-1500, at the Wynn instead of 5/10 at Bellagio or 10/20. I fly in twice a year and usually we stay at Bellagio. Thank you and GL
This episode is $2/5 $500 max at Bellagio. I’ve never played the $2/5 $1500 at the Wynn as it tends to attract more pros and grinders. I’ve heard the $5/10 at bellagio can be pretty good but never played it.
AA: 20 into 30 isn't a small bet. 10 is small. Unless I know this guy, I think I call him down unless turn or river is scary. He can have better hands, yes, but he can be betting worse hands for value also.
Relative to the pot it wasn’t small but absolute value in the game it would be perceived as a small bet. That said, I think 10-15 would accomplish the same goal.
Card dead. I played an online session the other day during which I bled off an entire buy in over 3 hours (during that time I was dealt a total of 4 pp and never hit a set, straight, or flush) and then made it all back in 2 hands (with a set and a flush). Gotta keep playing if the game is good because at some point the variance has to turn around in your direction.
Volume or lack thereof is one of my leaks. I’m trying to push up the number of hours I play to 25-30 or around 120hrs per month. Especially when the games are good. I kind of miss the online grind when you could play a couple hours and get in 1000+ hands multi-tabling. But then I was probably clicking buttons a lot back then and not really employing a sound thought process.
Tacos El Gordo is my favorite too!
Their pork tacos are incredible!! Best I’ve ever had.
Love the Kraftwerk poster! Based on that I am betting you have some good vinyl in that collection
Not a poster, that was Kraftwerk 2 on vinyl 😁 I have some decent records. Nothing too crazy. A lot of Jazz because that’s my thing.
10th

seems like you found a really bad game.
Im sure you've heard the wise saying, "Dont go broke in a limped pot". $5 is a limp, and ur AA raise to only $15 is really close to a limp. So it's a good idea to also abide by, "Dont go broke in a close-to-a-limped pot". It's hard to tell opponents' ranges with $15 pf raises. Heck, some open 7,2 suited to $15 lol. I'd say opening to $20 helps u out more than opening to $15.
Tell it to the judge u suck at poker haha
P.S. why didn’t YOU 3bet KJs from the button?
Default is a 3bet. The BB looked 🐟 fishy 🐠 from the few hands I had watched him play so I didn’t mind letting him into the pot. Didn’t work out that way though 🤷♂️
Ohhhhh! Exploitive play. I like it!
Isn’t there a casino called Aria somewhere in Vegas? Heard it’s nice. Man it would be cool to see some footage from that card room! 😂
Never heard of it. Maybe I will look into it 😂
🤣
HA! Vegas really is tight! Players in my area would definitely make the check raise with only top pair (AA hand) so I would be nervous but I would have to call the flop raise. F course the turn overbet is a fold 😜
WHAT UP G!?
Not a good river call of big $200 bet. Odds of a bluff into multiple players is low. You’re losing to one-liner straight and flush on multiway pot. EV- situation.
WP
I dont like your flop check. Why not raise and fold to a re raise instead of paying off the big river bet? You're giving everyone a free card to improve.
