Enable Management Frame Protection (MFP) on the AP.
yea, use a ethernet cable to connect to the internet.

is it possible to attack through an intermediate ASA firewall?

David how to be protected from such attack and also how to identify a person that could be attacking me ?
Enable MFP/PMF on Your AP oder Wifi-Router. With this option, the management frames (deauth is one of them) could be verified by the clients.
Or use an second auth service. Like Radius.
or switch to using a wifi 6 router. if not possile could just use wired connection via powerline kit.
