Anybody that's watching in 2024 that hasn't delved into Wet Willie just get Drippin' Wet Live and you'll be baptized in the water of this amazing band.
One of the Best bands in "southern Rock" from the 1970s. Wet Willie was a great southern "funk" band that made them unique from The Allman Brothers , MTB, CDB, Lynyrd Sknyrd, etc. Jimmie Hall/ Donna Hall were the first female back up singers long before anyone else had them. So Wet Willie was truly an original band to be among the best of the best. Jimmie Hall is one of the last lead vocalists from that era who was an equal to Gregg Allman vocally. Macon Ga sure does produce some of the best musician's on the planet, absolute pure southern soul!!
I saw about half and half - good comments and bad on the Deep Roots performance. I would like to say that this is a song that has helped me and a lot of others through some of the roughest times of their lives. These people are the people who make the world keep turning. I am so glad to see them still keeping on and putting out those good vibes for everybody, especially in times like we are living now.
Thank you for your comment. Rough times in 2023. I pray things are better for everyone in 24. I discovered this song today. I'm praying someone is up there helping. Much love to everyone.
Playing games with your mind keep on smiling keep on smiling through the rain keep on laughing at the pain that's the way to go keep on smilin always love this song great performance
Maybe the best psycho-theraputic song of the seventies - to date?????? See how ya'are? Have loved this and Countryside of Life since we played them both thousands of times from the seventies to the nineties when I quit playing music for dollars as a "part time" job. Wish I had written these two but THANK GOD that somebody did. God Bless all involved..... The essence of irrepressible healthy human Spirit... spunky and willin'.............. Was Elvin Bishop once a singer for WW???? Any relationship with Delbert McC and/or Gov't Mule??? Hickryhead - last of the Magic Masters of STL...
you ungrateful robopunks NEED to thank God that somebody had the wisdom to share this one & WW with you...... Thank You to those who posted and shared this historic and unusually healthy piece of music.... double thanks to those performing it - God guide, protect and bless us all.... especially the purveyors of this kind of happy, healthy mass communications - with a tablespoon full of sugar............ is this Elvin Bishop???? Was he the original singer for WW??? Sorry lost track when I fooled around and fell in love with the mob...74-86..been a little busy since divorce as their SOP is kill all the witnesses, destroy all the evidence....... Spater, A Dios, Auf Wiedersehen, Sianara, arreviderche' even, Nostrovia!.... was Hall Bishop? (just for a song?).....
Kelvin, your color temp is apparently about even with your IQ 30? Jane, I thought I heard Tarzan calling you..... Traitor or Alien invader? Respect your elders, don't contradict your elders, keep your eyes and ears open and mouth shut until you are sure you have something GOOD to say. commonly accepted wisdom ferya lucy & co.......
