- Mexico Are Eliminated (Mexico 2 Saudi Arabia 1 Match Reaction)
Mexico has been bounced from the Qatar World Cup. The substitutes were woeful. Tata's selection was trash. Nobody can finish. It's tough to say this wasn't a deserved ending to Tata's reign.
I just went off on this one. No rhyme, reason, or structure. Hopefully it's as cathartic for y'all as it was for me.

Update: Tata has been sacked.
Thank god😊
Everyone already knew he was leaving after the world cup. Even he himself I think said this.
As my experience of being a Mexican fan this has been the worst I’ve ever seen, and been disappointed. Hot take even the 3 loses we took to the U.S was less embarrassing than this World Cup
Yup , Tata Should have been Fired after the losses with USA
@@a_man_george agreed
Bro the usa 🇺🇸 is better at soccer then us now wtf😭😭😭😭
I’ve never despised a manager more either
Idk Mexico almost not qualifying before the 2014 World Cup is pretty close to worst Mexico has ever been.
it turns out every mexico fan knows more about football than tata and the federation. nothing surprised me this tournament 🤷🏽♂️
The whole federation of Mexican football is owned by corrupts the current president came to the light and brought everything all they care is about money and not about football
Chavez, Montes, Vega, and Kevin Alvarez for sure going to Europe. Once I saw Raul and Charlie come in I just thought damn that could’ve been Santi and Lainez. Lainez would’ve brought something totally different instead of running straight like Antuna and Pujo he probably would’ve cut inside and got us a potential penalty or assist. Im just so disappointed bro that I had hope for a second😔
I pray to god all 4 make it out
I hope Chavez and Vega go play in Europe; Vega is good is keeping possession when he's alone up front. Good luck to both of them
I love the passion in this mans rant 🤣 this is what I’m like with Ecuador
The fact that chucky didn’t let Chavez take free kicks after Chavez goal. Like Chavez is the only player that can kick ball literally. Dude needs to go to Europe.
Bro I was so heated at that.
@@TheDeadBallTV I was telling my dad why would Chucky take them, it was one of the selfish plays that in the end came to bite us in the ass
thank you i literally got so mad when charly was brought in
He is a scrub.
I appreciate you laying out your thoughts bro, I hope they take the team and management to task and rebuild
I hope so bro
Sánchez had an atrocious WC. Have never seen anyone regress as a player so much moving and regularly starting for Ajax
bro !!! no lie , i was raging. he can't pass , and he has no first touch, oh my god ! bro he was wack tbh i agree
I won’t forget this my eyes got in tears when they announced they’re eliminated.
This hurts to watch so much man..
Pisses me off cuz they always clutch up just enough to make it to the final 16 everytime but they are just like that one kid in class who always procrastinates and waits last minute to finish an assignment, even those used to it are bound to fail an assignment at least once doing that and this was a perfect example. Everything u said in this vid is exactly what they need if they wanna stop this bad habit
This next managerial appointment is huge. They absolutely have to get it right
as a US fan, yeah I agree Poland is so bad and they didn't want it at all. Mexico should have gone through but Martino was just such a horrible manager looks like he is officallly out.
A video about potential new managers would be interesting. Also, thoughts on the Liga MX system compared to the European systems and their abilities to develop talent
Liga MX is clearly missing something developing players after U23 but I think recent failures at the youth levels is showing that even those previous successes may be things of the past now
I’ll never forgive Tata for basically throwing the Argentina game. Playing a lineup and players that have never been tested together will never make sense. We could’ve made history by eliminating Messi at his last World Cup. And tata and the players gave them the game is insane
Never trusting a foreigner to lead Mexico NT every again
I Can feel the pain in his voice me and everyone in the family who watches these games as soon as we hear subs are coming in all we can say it’s over we have nothing left in the bench.. (we haven’t won since 2019 the day tata martino joined as coach) as soon as he talked in the interview he specifically said “I take full responsibility for what happened, but as soon as that whistle hit i was no longer in charge for what happened” they paid him 8 million dollars 500 thousand pesos a day to be a coach this is embarrassment
Bro I literally feel you were my voice in this video especially in the Carlos Rodriguez and Jorge Sanchez. They are not worthy of wearing the jersey.
Lmaooo I lost it on the Jorge Sanchez rant.
Great analysis.
Poland game was the biggest mistake, if they played to win that game and we prolly do win and have 6 points, and then face annihilation from France.
And they should’ve won. Poland are not good idc what anyone says
DROP THE UNSEEN FOOTAGE REACTION TO MEXICOS GAME ! BROTHA !
Every little single thing you said was absolutely right man
I broke down in tears bro after that game that loss really hurt we started doing when it was too late and just seeing ochoas last World Cup end In that way just hurts bro I hope tata gets the boot and we start improving because this was just embarrassing
Who said it was ochoa’s last World Cup? He didn’t even said that it was his last😂 he’s most likely going to 2026 as a sub and end it.
@@theneweraofmusic5578 dude he’s gonna be 41 I doubt there gonna call him and especially now I think there will be a lot of change too this national team
@@ba6yfacedntrip997 bro talavera is 40 Perez was 40 and plus, like I said memo still in the squad but as a sub nothing wrong with that.
@@theneweraofmusic5578 okay i see what your trying too say but i think we can agree this is his last World Cup he will play yk maybe 2026 he’s just a locker room guy giving the younger players advice
@@ba6yfacedntrip997 i completely agree sub and locker guy because we can’t just have all newbies with no veterans or legends to guide them. Memo is perfect at that. Keep memo in the national team but just as a voice of reason and then if the young goalkeeper is tired or injured then put memo in.
Jack, I don't know if you actually ever come back to these videos and read the comments again but here's my in-depth thoughts on Mexico right now and everyone else is welcomed to respond.
Alot of takes on here about Mexico. While Tata is 100% at fault, this runs deeper than just him. This disappointing showing at the World Cup is a reflection of the FMF as a whole, and the culture of mediocracy that runs in Mexican futbol.
We are a footballing nation with the 8th highest population in the world. Are we still a developing country? yes. But, we have a deeper infrastructure (especially in sports) than half of the footballing giants in the world. THE only reason we are not at that elite level is because of the corruption within our camp that is more interested in stacking their pockets rather than providing a quality side.
How it is not seen as a conflict of interest that half of the directors (including the president) of the FMF are former Televisa, and network execs is baffling. While ultimately the sport is part of a business - this conflict of interest unfortunately does center profit over product. The FMF knows that Mexico is a footballing nation, and that Mexicans will ride or die with this national side. So they've been hiding under the radar of not hiring quality coaches, of not hiring quality development trainers, of hiring non-football advisors to passive-aggressively tell our coach who to take, and not to take (Tata has now started exposing the skeletons and it was the FMF who decided he not bring Hernandez). Of coercing the board into withdrawing us from tournaments like Copa America or encouraging Liga MX directors to pull-out of Copa Libertadores because a Mexico/Liga MX side that gets the shit beat out of them isn't lucrative for grossing money (but it means when we play against actual talented sides at say a FUCKING WORLD CUP we can't score a fucking goal)
In 2003 after the 2-0 loss to USA at the world cup the year prior. The outrage was so impactful that the FMF went under a LITTLE bit of a infrastructure change. This led to the development with La Volpe and brought in new measures to guarantee growth in Mexican Football. This eventually turned into better youth development - which brough us two U-17 World Cups and arguably the most talented roster of Mexican players for the next decade in terms of depth. This led to domination of the CONCACAF, Olympic Gold, A Copa America Semi-Final, and over the course of 8 years two golden opportunities to advance to the Quinto Partido ('06,'14) where we fell short. While all of that was tremendous growth compared to the past, it led to comfortability with mediocracy. It was a step in the right direction, but it doesn't mean shit if you stop investing into the process.
With respect to Osorio, i think it became clear in 2016 that the processes needed to be revamped and adjusted after that 6-0 loss to Chile. At that point, the U-23 squad failed to make it out the Olympic group stage, the U-17 squad was struggling to qualify for the world cup, and as a federation and culture Mexico was having a HARD time convincing players to stay abroad or go abroad at all. As time progresses, it feels like our 2018 World Cup showing was a true reflection of our process hitting a neutral point. At our best, we can beat a Germany team that won the world cup 4 years prior, and at our worst we drop a fucking winable game to Sweden. It was clear as daylight then that the transition period of growth was hitting a rough patch, and we needed to reassess before its too late, but thats not what the fuck they did. Four years later, here we are. A serious lack of depth in the pool of talent, a regression in talent willing to travel abroad, MX Coaches too afraid to take the helf of HC, and a federation making the most money its ever made inspite of the fucing regression. It the players, its the coaches, and us fans who give a fuck the most who lose in this.
It is time for structural change AGAIN, and this time it needs to NOT stop at the foot of the door. We need to see proper programs with 20-30 plans of growth and expanded youth programs with proper MC to Europe pipelines. If Televisa still wants a piece of the pie the fine, but fucking let the athletic side do what it needs to do to provide a quality product. Yon De Luisa needs t step down, We need to hire a MEXICAN coach not just for 4 years but with a 8-12 year plan. Hire actual FOOTBALL advisors (Foreign, or Domestic) to help him craft a proper program. If we need foreign help then hire some Gire German, or Spanish Defensive Development trainers to work with Liga MX Trainers, and National Side trainers so we can start producing quality Center-Backs, and do the same with some French, or German Trainers to help develop the pool of Mexican strikers. Mexican football ahs always managed to produce solid defensive-centre mids, Goal-Keepers, and Wingers. Those two areas are where we have always struggled the most.
Fuck making it to the Quinto Partido in 2026. What i want to see is a YOUNG Mexican side full of young lads playing in Europe. They don't have to be playing for the top clubs in La Liga or EPL but earning their stripes atleast in Holland, Portugal, Germany, or Belgium. I don't want to see some expensive ass coach who use to coach PSG, or Barca, or Manchester leading our team, i want to see a Mexican in his 40s who has the full support of the FMF, Trust of his Players, and open to critique from the fanbase.
If we want to truly become a giant, the entire proccess needs to stop being a broken record that resets every four years, but instead one that looks at 2026 as a stepping stone to even greater success for 2030, 2034.2038, and etc. Germany can do it, we can too.
If we’re putting any blame here, it goes in this order, Mexican Federation, Tata Martino, and then the players, not all players but there are definitely some who don’t play for the country. I need this exit to be the spark that causes change from the federation, Tata is gone and I could be happy but if nothing changes what’s the point of being happy if the next manager is gonna be the same? The players need to start having more ambition and need to get to Europe, I feel and correct me if I’m wrong but the Mexican players are good but they need to move to Europe and get to the level of being great, too many players who need to get past the hump of being content with where they are, I need more ambition from them, I genuinely can go on and on about all of this but I feel as if I would be here all day, curious to see what people think
Bro even the players said , they didn’t know what tata was doing in the formation with Argentina…………. He sold the game with the 5 in the back
@@a_man_george maybe I’m too optimistic but I felt if we played the way we did today, we could’ve got a result against Argentina, I’m just upset brotha
I don’t see a world were Liga MX players start to go to Europe when all they watch is Liga MX.
@@shamwowguy19ro , We just Don’t have the players! Don’t be Upset, Just Accept That Our Soccer is Very Awful, Mexico will never win a World Cup, But If you Love Soccer , Enjoy the Rest of tournament with Good Matches With the Greats Clashing , Brazil , Argentina, France ,Spain, Germany .
It would have been an all you can eat buffet for Lainez
It would’ve been a buffet for you too bro 😪
This really hurt me but if you look on the bright side Tata not our coach anymore
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is too good
Laughing at my pain bro 😪
Well said Jack...
Thank you friend
Best thing that can happen to Mexico..Maybe this helps them improve the way the team is run. Either way they were getting demolished by France continuing the round of 16 curse which would have made the people who run mexico feel ok with the result and complacent. Now that they crashed out hopefully it improves how things are run
Let’s hope brotha
Oddly enough, both finalists of the world cup beat Mexico for the first time in world cup history.
Failing to reach round of 16 with Germany and Sweden in the group stage is more forgivable than with Argentina and Poland.
I was telling my friends that if we had a better manager we could’ve made it to the round of 16, but that’s not enough. I expect a major rebuild because there’s no way that you can tell me we don’t have the talent. Look at the Olympics or the World Cup for the under 21 or any of the rest. The talent is there but if they’re future is to pick up a check in Liga MX then wtf are we doing. If we don’t send at least 50 players to Europe from now till the next World Cup then I’d consider the rebuild a failure. Also we need a new manager, like yea the players aren’t all that but if Tata already knew he’d be sacked then at least give us a future to look forward to. No Acevedo, Héctor Herrera played 2 games, no Lainez, no Santi Jiménez, etc. Like cmon man, at this point he does deserve the hate even if he tried to leave earlier
Who’s miss was worse? Chris Wondoloski miss vs Belgium 2014 or Henry Martin 1vs 1 miss 2022 World Cup vs Arabia.
What’s worse: Alexis Vega’s miss in the 2nd minute or Henry Martins miss?
🔥🔥
Say hi to Canada for us! 😃
And to think the whole nation was celebrating the draw against Poland on Twitter and Instagram. I knew we were so mudded at that point 🤦🏽♂️
Yep. The worst part is Poland are ass. If Mexico actually went for it, they could’ve won.
My biggest regret, not seeing the amazing white jerseys in the World Cup. Definitely getting that Jersey when it's on sale at the adidas employee store
Lol 😂
Hopefully we roll with these kits a while
I think the real problem here is that Chaka didn’t get called up
Mexico not getting out of group stage is more shocking than Germany failing getting out of the group in WC 2018. El Tri has to be the most disappointing team in the WC. A way more than Denmark. Mexico has WC tradition but Denmark doesn’t. This was a bad performance!
Don't forget Arteaga didn't even get any minutes
That is annoying but at least Gallardo held it down.
Release the footage. We need the Jack cut of the second half
Lol I’ll consider it
i get bringing in more forwards but to take out alvarez was stupid cause he was holding down midfield
I kind of liked H Martin. He was able to hold his ground. Last WC all of our forwards got pushed around. Lainez should have been Chucky's sub; the guy did nothing for us but run verticals. For a professional footballer you shouldn't be flying so many balls....side note, I honestly think Mex vs Poland, Vega should have been awarded a penalty. Yes J Sanchez thinks he ran run past everyone it's like watch a kid trying to sprint away from an angry dad.
Tata is out so I don’t think we are even gonna hear from him
Saw the YDL had a press conference today. Haven't read the full transcript yet tho
This is So Messed Up 🆙!!! Tata Sold himself To Argentina and gave that Game up 🆙!! The last game he Used Bad Tatics and formation!
At this point give me Gregg Berhalter over Tata
This team should be ranked like 20th
I’d go 22-25 in there somewhere
Jack do you think El Piojo Herrera takes over, and if yes do you think that would be good for the team?
I don’t think he should. We’ve been there done that. We need someone fresh
@@TheDeadBallTV u shud talk about possiblities in a future vid, i saw hugo sanchez mentioned Jaime Lozano and also ppl mentioning Rafa Marquez way further down the line
@@fernandovargas5689 I feel like Rafaela Marquez would make the team play defensive
@@denismoscol-silva4890 Interesting, I only know he coaches Barcelonas B team rn, i hv no idea what his tactics are, and if he were coach I see it in 2030 cuz 2026 might be too early imo. I definitely see Jaime Lozano tho since he got Mexico bronze in the olympics 2020
I feel as if the mexico football federation and liga mx are eating their young. And the federation is poisoning their up and coming players
😢 fans showed up, Mexico team didn’t.
Not just Sanchez but Arteaga played 0 minutes. Granted Gallardo didn't do too bad but whem it's goals you needed Arteaga was better suited. He litteraly double Gallardo goals and assist and in Europe.
Yeah I guess Gallardo was so serviceable this WC that I never found myself clamoring for Arteaga that much. But would greatly prefer Arteaga moving forward…
Marcelo Flores would have been a good choice too, despite being young and green, but when he plays you can tell he has that European mentality to win and play well. I'm not saying hes the answer, but would have put more heart into it than most of the players out there. Don't know what they had to do, but get it done to get Vela in this squad.
Who would you put as coach, interested to hear all yall's thoughts on who should be Mexico's next coach looking to 2026 and 2030
@@Edgar-xn5yi for 2030 Jaime Lozano he already had experience managing the sub23 squad in toulon and pan America games while also having experience in liga mx but for 2026 I have no clue who could take that poison chalice rn cause they have to fix all of Tata's errors and make due with the players who are regulars now because of him
Honestly I just want someone to come in and pull a Gustavo Alfaro with Ecuador and give all the young guys a chance. Kick out the old players. We have the talent to succeed if it’s given an opportunity
