Oh, gosh, this man's voice was my lullaby for the most rough times in my life...

If you have not heard the Angel from their Alexander Theater sessions, live, I highly recommend that.

Most songs of POTF are not only songs, but sound and voice based experiences! Voice and instruments are to me somehow support each other or evnleope each other. Marko has not only that outstanding bariton sound, but his head voice is outstanding as well.

I know what you mean about the bands' music and Marko's voice being so chill...I went on a roadtrip (3.5-4hr drive) and only played Poets of the Fall on Spotify the whole time! Their regular discography, plus all their special acoustic versions, instrumental only versions, Alexander Theater Sessions versions, dance mix versions, etc kept me entertained the whole way! Thanks for the reaction! (Ps, I'm glad you did the live show, because even though the official video is artistically amazing, I think it takes away from the actual music and vocals.) 🙂

Honestly I couldn't agree more. I wanted to do the live one because I hadn't seen it previously but there's something really outstanding about the band live I'm noticing. Their discography is amazing but there's another layer of quality live somehow!

@@grieverproductions2022 ...I agree with this too! It seems like the playing is almost more intense with the adrenaline of playing live, yet they are still spot-on perfect! And I like the little differences (ornamentaion?) that Marko adds when singing live.

Marko's range is INSANE and POTF has so much music ranging from heavy to ballads! You have to check out more of their music! Some of the great songs to check out are Daze, Cradled in Love, Lift and Locking up the sun! Ty for this reaction

The beginning and the end verse were stylistic. Sometimes Marko uses these cracks as an emotional resource.

It's definitely deliberate, it's meant to sound like he's on the verge of crying and it's very effective.

This was song 16/19 that night and you can definitely notice it in Marko's voice but it still sounds AMAZING

I love the sound of his voice, to me it`s one of the best voices in the world. Please react to Angel from the Alexander Theater Sessions. Fantastic job. His falsetto really shines in Daze.

They are amazing live. Just truly amazing. And this video is from a very long concert with their greatest hits at that time and you can definitely tell he was tired, but despite that he still sounded amazing. Of course, Alexander Theatre Sessions are out there, go check it out.

I've only seen him live twice but both times Carnival of Rust was played at the end of the concert as an encore.

I agree 100%! Angel from Alexandre Theatre Sessions album next, PLEASE! Just him and a grand piano in that one. The entire album is worth checking out, acoustic versions of 12 of their songs with various instruments from guitar to piano to strings. Please listen to that ear candy!!! No one conveys emotions like Marko, and his beautiful poetic lyrics are worth listening to as well. Btw, the song was towards the end of their set and he had sung about an hour or so before he did it. Personally, I‘d say given his training and usual insane control over his voice the note you speak of was most probably intentional, but as you said, we‘re all human, and we know that he‘s amazing, so it doesn‘t matter. Fun facts: every album and video they put out during their long career (their 20 anniversary tour ends in December) was done on their own tiny label called - Insomniac 😉😁. Marko ran his own graphic design studio before he decided it wasn‘t what he wanted to do for the rest of his life and started the band. But his experience in that field certainly helped him designing album artwork and videos. They look like major label releases with big budgets, but they are not. The band had offers from major labels but turned them down wanting to retain creative freedom and maintain their high level of artistry. Greetings to Sydney, Australia btw, I used to live there for many years. 🇫🇮🇦🇺 - and of course a big thank you for a great review!

Thx for this!) Alexander Theater sessions - a must for review))
And I will add, I think, in the songs from the new album (Ghostlight), such as sounds of yesterday and hello cabaret , Marco's falsetto is at the most impressive level in his entire career! I highly recommend)

I'd actually be curious to hear your opinion on Daze (poets of the fall). Marko sings a whole chorus in falsetto, or close to it (not quite sure if it counts)

Nice you react by Poets of the fall 🙂 ill hope you react song named Hello Cabaret... that is my favorite on their new album Ghostlight. And lately Marko have done lot falsetto voice on their songs btw 🙂

    • @TimTheTuner
      @TimTheTuner Год назад

There's more falsetto on Ghostlight than on any other Poets album, I believe. I think it's their very best work and will be hard to beat.

In this song "Poets of the Fall - Daze - ruclips.net/video/di7NMssrqsE/видео.html " the singer Marko sings really long choruses in Falsetto and the Video is Amazing - please can you react to it?
