@@cdpgeorge Yes. His real name is Dan Whitney. If you search his name on RUclips, you can find some old videos of him doing standup without the character. A few of the jokes are ones I've seen him tell as Larry. They don't land the same. The Blue Collar Comedy Tour was actually inspired by Kings of Comedy. The story goes that Jeff Foxworthy read an article or saw an advertisement, one or the other, about Kings of Comedy. It said that it was “the comedy show for the hip, young, urban audience”. And he then called Bill Engvall and told him that this left a lot of people out. And thus Blue Collar Comedy Tour was conceived. Jeff, Bill and Ron White were all there from the beginning. However, Larry the Cable Guy joined later after the original fourth member, a man named Craig Hawksley, left the tour.
And most of them ARE actually southern. Jeff is from Georgia, while Bill and Ron are both from Texas. Larry however, is from Nebraska and is a huge Cornhuskers fan. Though he did spend a part of his youth in Florida.

Was never an issue because he was funny and made him laugh. I believe that's how he landed his spot on this tour. No idea if it was his character or him being him, but his career took off once he and Jeff became friends.

A game show was born out of Jeff Foxworthy's silliness called 'Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?' Had a lot of celebrity guests facing off against actual 5th grade students. Many had to admit at the end of the show, "I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader." Btw, since you like Bill Engvall, you should check out a movie called 'Delta Farce'. Larry the Cable Guy costars. It's a lot of fun.

Britt all 4 of these guys are famous accomplished comedians in their own right but they also did this routine together and it was called The Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Also the two guys in the middle are Bill Engvall on the left and Jeff Foxworthy on the right. They have both also had their own tv shows. The big guy on the left is Larry the Cable Guy. He has done a lot of acting in movies and tv in addition to his comedy stuff. The drinker on the far right is Ron White. I don’t know if he has done any acting but he has been around for a long time doing his comedy routine. You should watch all four of them and also more of their group comedy tour. You will enjoy it.

You have to keep in mind something very important with men that a lot of women don't recognize: Men never truly grow up. They still have toys. They just get bigger, more expensive, and more intricate.
Any male-dominated store type is very easily explained as a 'big boys' toy store', and looking at it that way makes it much easier to understand. Want a knife? Go to the big boys' toy store. Want a firearm? Same. Car? Same. Tools? Same. It's just how men operate. Our toys 'grow up' with us.

Larry the Cable Guy - the one you said reminds you of Elmer Fudd. He has the really thick southern accents but it’s not natural. He was born and raised in Nebraska. In college he had two roommates. - one from Texas and one from Georgia. He used to mess with them and imitate their accents - that’s how he developed it for his act.

Ron White when he's on a puddle jumper flight and there are issues with then plane. His seatmate is going crazy and asks how far do you think we can make it........... As To Foxworthy, he is one of the biggest stage comedians ever. Born in Atlanta, Met his wife at a comedy club in Atlanta (still lives in Georgia near Atlanta as I recall). You might recognize his main tag line, "You might be a Redneck".

Larry The Cable Guy has been in several movies and still lives in Nebraska.
