Second, if you want to do it yourself, you can use a voltmeter to measure the voltage of the black wire and the white wire, and the red wire and the white wire. Finally, if you still want to try it yourself, you can connect the white wire to the white wire, and the black wire to the black wire.
I believe I have everything wired up correctly. However the remote does not want to pair. Am I right that I turn on the fan and within 5 seconds should press and hold the remote’s wireless button? There is no button to press on the ceiling fan or receiver?

What if my ceiling has a red wire, plus the black and white? My old fan had separate wall switches for fan and light.
