Hillbilly metal at it’s highest level. 👍 They are from Finland. They have tons of great covers, as far as guest singers, besides the two you have already seen, I only recall seeing one other, with Timo Kotipelto of Strativarius, doing I Surrender. There may be others.
Love to see you reacting to this! Tight musicianship. As a classically clueless self taught natural born anvil technician, I'm really happy to see they didn't overdo those anvil percussions. An anvil is a delicate instrument. Not to be abused, nor pounded willy-nilly for mere fun or crudely utilitarian purposes.
I might get away with getting myself a mandolin and a 5 string banjo, the double bass however will probably lead to an involuntary eviction.🤣 Anyway, these guys are awesome!
Yeahaaa!! Finnish Hillbilly Metal!!! Absolutely amazing band! Wery popular in the States and Europe. Noora and Tarja were in a TV-series/show called "Seagull`s Nest". Wolfman, the biggest insult to Finnish people is to say, something is from Sweden, when it is not!!! There has been some changes in the band since this video and the "Tarja & Noora" - videos. They have some of the most famous Finnish metal vocalists as quest in that show. You can watch it here in Tube. You MUST react to another Finnish band called: "Poets of the Fall" !! They will knock you out and empty your cleanex boxes. The most amazing male vocalist, also live. I would recommend the "Alexander Theatre Sessions"- a song like "Angel". And the Live Show in Moscow. If you do not need a tissue, I will eat my hat live here in Tube!! Best Regards from Finland!!
Here's a Finnish Folk Metal band which has an accordionist and a violinist. Anvil features in the video: "Korpiklaani - Sanaton maa". Meaning something like "Silent Ground". Here's a Finnish Country song from 1971: "Jarno Sarjanen - Pienen pojan haaveet". As in "Little Boy's Dreams". Here's a homage from Finland to the legends of banjo: "The Banjo Song - Jussi Syren & The Groundbreakers". Here's banjo played in a sauna: "Nordic Banjo - Flypolska". Here's one which might interest you: "The Claw (Tuomas Metsberg & Jarmo Hynninen)". And one more from the year 1957 Finnish Accordion Champion: "Veikko Ahvenainen - Kesäillan valssi". Meaning "The Summer Evening's Waltz".
One of my favorites by Steve'n'Seagulls is "Antisocial" Live @ Musilac 2017. Performed in front of a huge festival crowd. They are quite popular in France, so they decided to cover a song by the French band Trust. The contrabassist sings it in French. This song doesn't get much attention because the original is relatively unknown. France is not known for metal bands. Seagulls have played in Wacken too, not the main stage though. They now, from 2019 on, have a new drummer and a new bassist, who also sings this song in French. Both new members are as good as the previous ones. They attended the Nightwish Cruise. In an interview the bassist you just saw, said he was impressed by the new Nightwish vocalist, Floor. They have covered Nightwish' Wishmaster, but I can not recommed it. It's not one of their best covers, and to be honest it's not among the best songs by Tuomas. There's a video from Annette era, where Tuomas says they will drop the song from the setlist, maybe for good. Anette did not like to sing it, so why force it. I think they brought it back with Floor, briefly. The best thing that came from the song is the misheard lyrics video. Seagulls guys are very down to earth country boys, originally from small places, always meeting fans after concerts. I saw and talked with them twice in Helsinki during Covid, when concerts were allowed occasionally. At Allas Sea Pool outdoors, I got the setlist from the main vocalist as a souvenir, and in Culture House, it was a live stream concert as well. And the next week all concerts were canceled by the Finnish government.
sweden are our sisters and brothers but this band is finnish

That banjo player was my class mate seven years. Holy sh*t that guy knew how to play every instrument and sing. Matias (Herman) is the greatest! :) Here is his a kind of solo project, react to this ruclips.net/video/Xf2_XTJGckA/видео.html "Matias and the Canyons - Yellow Moon Shining Bright"
They do great covers of all kinds of rock legend songs. Would love you 2 reviewing the just released liliac from madlife 2022 featuring Aiden Fisher from stranger things its got great vocals and guitar battles
Omg I thought it was a girl w the accordion.. the dude had a fox tail or some crazy thing...but...the spoon playing... oh, so fun! Why don't y'all rent out some of your wall instruments to the church for kids to learn? A shame they aren't being played... what if they're sad...? Think about it... (it's income...you know I'm always on a hustle!)
Their November Rain is Amazing! Another favourite of mine is Nothing else matters...
They are from Finland.
Thank you very much! Nice to see you enjoying the music! "Still Loving You" is really good. And the video is also amazing!

Other guests on Seagulls' Nest series were Samy Elbanna, Sami Yaffa and Lassi Vääränen.
I saw them in Houston last year, all very nice guys.
Love to see you reacting to this! Tight musicianship.

really enjoyed that guys !! so funny & entertaining !! Have you seen their version of ACDC's Thunderstruck ? Well worth watching !!
Noora Louhimo, lead singer of Battle Beast is not Swedish. She is Finnish like all the members of Battle Beast.
That was awesome and cool and fun
I might get away with getting myself a mandolin and a 5 string banjo, the double bass however will probably lead to an involuntary eviction.🤣
Anyway, these guys are awesome!
They're from Finland from memory.
Sweet Maria, the original one.
Hi Guys This video is awesome and they also do two songs with Tarja. Until my last breathe and Sleeping Sun. They are Finnish like Tarja
Speaking of accordions, please check out Finnish accordionist Netta Skog. She is fire!
That might be my first time seeing an anvil used as a musical instrument. LOL
Other than Maxwell's Silver Hammer

The previous drummer had a great voice, though.
You need to check their cover of Nightwish 'Sleeping Sun' ft. Tarja Turunen.
