I play VR quite regularly and I can definitely understand alot of the frustrations you had while playing this. I have been playing it on PSVR2 and I do notice similar issues with some of the minigames. Especially with the first aid minigame. I believe what was causing them to constantly scream is you would leave tools on top of them like the saw or hammer and it was constantly "triggering damage" which forced the mask to be pulled off. I did greatly enjoy watching your stream. I know you don't do much VR content, but I always love seeing it. XD
All I have to say is Kudos to Insym for sticking through the entire game for 7hrs with all the bugs and glitches he got. I would have given up within the first hr or less!!! 😂 My husband would have thrown the whole thing out the window 😂 This level of perseverance is unmatched. Also, the audio flip reminded me of an issue I got with my regular turtle beach headset on ps5 once. Left was right, and forwards was backwards... and vice-versa. I had to do a hard reset on the headset 😅
Not at all blaming you for the technical problems that happened, but I'm just curious, have you had any of these issues on other VR titles? It's just that I have watched multiple playthroughs of this game already and you were the only one to have this many issues, especially with the camera adjusting. I think that specifically might be the VR itself or the playspace setup that went wrong. I could be wrong though. I wish it wouldn't have been so glitchy for you, as if it happened to me that would also ruin my experience.
No, the play space was perfectly set up before stream. I can see the borders in VR and could see they were exactly where they should have been. The game just ignored those borders and instead reset the environment every single minigame based on where you are looking at the start of the minigame. Which wouldn't have been so bad if it was at least consistent, but looking the exact same direction twice would have wildly different results.
@@Insym The Valve Index is technically "old" technology in the VR space, but not old enough to completely break your game like it did for you, that is still on the devs. There was for sure a lack of testing either in general or with that specific VR. A lot of people I've seen play this game used the PSVR 2 because of the exclusive card game, and they had little to no bugs. So I assume they spent most of their debugging on that device for exclusivity purposes, sadly.

One of my favorite gamers to watch, but he blames a lot of his silly mistakes and lack of understanding of simple mechanics for game bugs and glitches. While he played the game there were a total of zero game glitches or bugs that occurred. If you don't believe me rewatch and look closely.
Thank you for letting me know this is a game where he does that. This guy is entertaining but I can't stand when he starts to comment on bad design when he's usually at fault. It's so infuriating how often he does it and it will usually persist through the whole playthrough so it's not even worth watching a bad experience where no one is enjoying their time.

Dying over and over is sorta the premise of help wanted, to learn how the game plays. Man it really is a shame VR is just not fun for you I personally love it. Like this game does have a problem with centering, but it can be paused and you can recenter in the vr settings. Most of the time it just goes wherever you're looking, but if it is in a particularly bad direction you just recenter it in vr and the problem is fixed
I was in pain while watching your gameplay D: Almost no thinking or reading. Did everything completely wrong and still you were able to beat the game. Even the fragment with proteins and protesting robots where you should send mixtures to the trash to make chicka return to the dumpster.

But there were definitely moments where that wasn't the case and Helpy was still screaming, or Insym died when nothing was making noise. Regardless, hope the game updates and fixes a lot of these glaring bugs soon!!! The art direction is so lovely and fun for a lot of the mini games, I'd hate to see it all be overshadowed by these bugs

Some of those setbacks should've been caught in playtesting, like Helpy randomly screaming in the First Aid minigame. Those are the kind of bug that could've been caught and fixed with a more rigorous playtesting.

Just because it's practically become the norm in the past couple of years for games to be buggy (or unfinished in a lot of cases) at release absolutely doesn't mean it should be excused. And we *really* shouldn't even be able to consider it a norm. The only major bugs that are excusable are platform/hardware related bugs, those are admittedly hard (and also plainly expensive) to test for and fix.
The fact that this opinion is common nowadays is so sad. We've just accepted that buying a broken product is normal and that that's totally fine because they'll probably fix it down the line. No that's not normal we deserve a working product when we pay full price. Imagine buying a TV that doesn't work, "what did you expect you just bought it, it will work in two weeks!"
I do VR development for a living so I understand that not every interaction will be perfect, but Insym kinda put it best when he said that it would've been better as just a regular game, because, in general, all of these games would have worked fine with a keyboard and mouse or controller. They didn't really take the fact it was virtual reality to make meaningful places and interactions that were unique and worked well because they were in VR. One instance of completely squandered opportunity was with music man, it's super cool to be so close to music man, and scary to have such a large threat up close.... only for all of the gameplay to be looking down at what this small screen showing you what you need to do so you play the music right.
Interesting take, ive seen good reviews off the board with like how this does VR Horror bettern than anything else currently and plays with not being able to look at scary things and putting it into "the unknown" beyond your vision to increase it even more. Cant judge myself i'm a horror baby, Phasmophobia is most my poor heart can endure.
I'll play devil's advocate here. Mark had the same trouble with heating Freddy, that's valid, and the cake thing that happened to Insym is buggy. However, in duality, I can't remember a single unreasonable difficulty Spiff had, though I too feel bad that he has to play this not only multiple times, but in marathon conditions with the other games. Insym impressively did this for 7 hours, imagine doing 7 hours of VR including 2 vr games plus dreadbear, and STILL having to take vr off and play on a regular screen for an additional 13 hours?
This game reminds me of my childhood when I was in 6th grade in elementary school, we went to the Bobo magazine studio, competing to make puppy dolls from cardboard, scissors, glue and so on. Unfortunately, my team and I only got 2nd place.
