could you please suggest some best 5.1 speakers for this model.. i am going to buy this soon. but totly confused with with speaker buying decision, with impedence and watts. i am new and dont have much tech knowledge in this field. was browsing through the yamaha site itself for speaker packages like 2 book shelfs + sorround pack + subwoofer also. thank you
The RS-202 is not a home theater receiver, it is a stereo audio receiver with a phono preamp built in. It's basically entirely for a music set up. You could maybe use it to run speakers for a home theater set up, but the issue arises that there are no HDMI ports for TV connectivity, limited features, and it's strictly stereo, no 5.1 or any kind of surround sound or surround sound simulation, it is as barebones as it gets for a reciever.
@@PurpleStormProductions well, it makes sense, that's a budget reciever. I connected mine to a pair of floorstanding speakers with bi-wiring, and kinda connected the subwoofer but its not a dedicated output so the sub volume does not change through the reciever's volume source, just with the main signal source in my case my pc..
Sorry, can you kindly explain to me how to setup a 4.1 setup with this receiver? Because right now i only have 4 speakers and a subwoofer. In the setup manual they only say it connected 5.1, 3.1 and 2.1 setup. So i dont know of it's possible to do a 4.1 setup with this receiver.
Yes, but I am struggling to get my 5.1 surround right. Another comment talked about a certain setting within the HDMI menu. I haven't found it yet, but I think I will. . .
Lol this guy is so robotic. It's like you never read out loud before and if a sentence drops down to the next line you just assume the sentence is over before reading the next line down.
good basic 5.1 receiver with 4K Ultra HD and bluetooth 👍🏻
Is this better than the sony str-dh590? Would it be worth an upgrade?
May I ask how well Bluetooth functioned , has I listen to a lot of music through Bluetooth , with headphones
It's perfect for my small living room. 😌

You need a center channel...but that is the one you'll be skipping.
Spend $100 and get a Yamaha center speaker. Voila!
Can this receiver work with 4 Ohms
It states 8 ohm only
It is said that it now supports hdmi 2.1 is that true ??
Anyone running PC's through this ?
