Bought the Denon and the sound really sucks. I have called customer service and done everything they say and it still sounds like a cheap am radio as far as sound. I had an older Sony AV receiver and it sounded way better.

how did you come up with this? none of these are bad in their own class, this could be someones top 5 out of 10 or something, but this doesnt scratch the surface of whats out there. the DS2 is nowhere near top tier, and its not a tube phono stage its hybrid. jfets, opamps, a pair of tubes. not all tubes are warm, and this isnt a particularly warm phono amp. is this a paid advertisement or something?

Is it easy to see the volume level setting from across the room? In other words is the volume control illuminated?

Clearly the reviewer has not actually used these products. I have. The Audioengine is good. The first one (1-Mii) has terrible range - I own one.

the POLK TL1 are not magnetically shielded. I have both generations and both generations affect my CRT tv that I use for VHS/DVD and retro games. They also do not do lows very well but do highs really well. The Polk signature series do not do highs that well but do lows well. So if you combine them then they are amazing
