i'm a 16 year old boy in High School as a junior I seriously considering killing myself recently, but this song has shown me all the reasons I shouldn't. That's how I feel
After 8 years of domestic abuse, I was so mentally distraught that I turned to drugs and self mutilation. After quitting drugs I still suffered with mutilation and severe depression which included 3 ODs.. I never wanted to die.. i wanted to live. I just didnt know how to ask for help. I had been trying to give God my life for so long.. I was very lukewarm and walking the fence... but where the spirit is willing the flesh is weak. My dad says that whenever he would hear this song he would hear my ringtone (not same song) and he would stop by and or call me. Not only did he think he heard his phone ringing, he also said that this was Gods message to me, This song became my favorite.. and it reminds me of how much my heavenly and earthly fathers love me.

Life has knocked me down MANY MANY times.. but I always got through it.. I'm a fighter (or so I thought) One day I was thinking about everything life had thrown at me... (molestation at a young age, long line of alcoholics, lashes from a fishing pole that literally instantly filleted the flesh on my thigh open, locked in my bedroom, (that was just childhood and theres lots more just as horrific that I wont begrudge you) rape to the point I almost died from blood poisoning, mutilation, ODs, beatings..most of those were just the physical..the mental things I endured would literally blow your mind...One of them was so painful, hurtful and shocking that the enemy decided to use it as a final blow... so painful that I was going to end my life .. I always had a deep seeded fear that I wouldnt even think about because I didn't want to know.. I was happy being ignorant to the topic. Basically, everyone who "loved" me had known a secret and nobody ever told me.... I was a secret...betrayed by the people who said they loved me. All the things poppin in my head right now that I've endured or been afflicted with all seem so dramatic... you would think my life was a lifetime movie marathon. I even have 3 children (2 of whom are mildly functioning autistic) Anywho... I was thinking of my life and the thought ran through my head.. "wow I have overcame so much" just as soon as the thought entered it was interrupted by the Spirit.."it wasnt your strength that got you through this, if you had it your way you probably would have died a long time ago, there was a time that you would have rather been dead than to have to be so tormented...God carried you...HIS strength saved you, He literally carried you from glory to glory"... it's a long comment i know but it's my truth. GOD is so good, and faithful, and consistent. Stop trying to fight battles that weren't ever meant for you in the first place.. "The battle is mine says the Lord"

I don't think this band knows the extent of how much power this song has. Please keep my wife in your prayers. She has myotonic muscular dystrophy. Her mobility and ability to walk has regressed over the past few years. Doctors cannot heal or cure her, but I know God can and will. Please make this a daily prayer request for her. It is hard, some days, to stay positive and to not worry about her situation. I rely on the love of God and the prayers of others to get me through. God Bless and thank you!

My brother was murdered in February. I didnt think my life could get any worse. Before this happened, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and is still struggling with it today, plus the loss of a son. Ive been through so much in my life, the only person that keeps me going, keeps me with my head up, is God. Yea i always have questions, theyre eventually answered by Him. I just wanted to say that I cried a river when I heard this song. I felt as if God was talking to me. I had been doing the same sin often and little by little I felt distant from God. I thought how can God forgive me if I dissapoint him everyday, he must be angry with me. I felt alone and sad. Praise the Lord! My Dad always used to play this whenever I was not even double digits. He died when I was 14, it was near the end of 2020 so things were already hectic. After that, we moved and were only able to visit my Church once a month because we can't find any good ones where we are. I am really grateful that I have been baptised into God's word. Recently I just reconnected my faith, it happened after I finished helping out at the Firehall I volunteer at because they were hosting bingo. I felt annoyed and exhausted walking back, I was struggling with faith and I went to RUclips to play something to calm me. It's so comical how this happened because the first song that came to mind was this one. My Dad was always a hard-core Christian and he actually introduced Christianity to my Mom who afterwards was determined to baptise me and my brother. Not even halfway through the song and I nearly burst into tears because all this time I thought I was being forced into doing things I didn't want to do, but I learned that my parents just wanted to save me, and so did Jesus. Before this happened, I was being forced to sleep at my aunt's house because we were still moving into this one. Either way, out of nowhere, I had a strange but also encouraging vision. I couldn't move, but I saw and witnessed Jesus going through his suffering for us. And this wasn't caused by anything natural because I hadn't even thought of Church since we started moving. I think Jesus was genuinely reminding me that he is here with us all, he is risen, and he loves us. Now I know that doubt is natural for teenagers, in fact, pretty much every Christian goes through it, but we don't need to worry. God is in us and he will make sure we are okay. Just remember to worship and pray every day! Love you guys and especially you, Jesus!

My father passed away last October and Tenth Avenue North was one of his favorite bands. I will be forever thankful that he introduced me to them while he was still here because they have helped me stay sane while I've worked myself through life since his passing. My brother was just diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and he is so young. I am with you always", says the Lord. He has to know Our Lord will never leave his side. His surgery was so major and so long. First time I'll be sharing this my story online.
2018, I was a university freshman studying a discipline I didn't want (after trying to get admission unsuccessfully for 3 years). I was also being criticized a lot by people I looked up to in the campus church, was called arrogant, unsocial, and disobedient. I felt like a collosal failure. My heart, at a point, got so much clouded that I was at the brink of giving up on God and ultimately life. I don't remember how I got this song but I remember lying there on the hostel bed and just have the tears drop as this song played. (Writing this brings up tears to my heart because it was so hard.) The moment this song got through to my soul and spirit, I clearly, and I mean clearly heard God speak to me through the lyrics that I should let go and let Him clean the mess.
I got a new hope, a new faith and by God's grace I decided to go on to get a degree in the discipline. I got totally restored to God, sanctified and filled by the Holy Spirit.
I ended up being a top performer in school (both in extracurricular activities), preached the Gospel all around campus and led countless numbers of individuals to Christ. I was also a leader in my campus church and now I am a graduate (top 5 in my class). I have also enjoyed work opportunities I never thought would come while studying and currently I just founded a startup.
I am still living for, and serving Jesus. By God's grace, I will yet preach Jesus to the ends of the earth.
Truly, He has been, He is and He will always be by my side.
I hope my story encourages someone and strengthens your Faith. This song is breathed upon by the Holy Spirit, God's voice is alive in, and through it. Whatever you're going through, He is by your side.🙏🏽

Lead singer has an amazing high range which adds a lot of intensity to an already great song. The spirit moves in such a powerful way that this wonderful song can sometimes make me cry. Still one of my favorite Christian songs.
Tenth Ave North and The Afters are probably two of my favorite bands of recent bands.
It took me a long time for me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I was suicidal and was lost. My younger brother spoke of His unconditional love and I felt the cross I was carrying was lifted. It still tough to forgive the people who hurt me but I look up to the heavens and call out to Abba for strength. God sent His only Son down to save us: the greatest sacrifice ever made out of love.
Something you said reminded me of a friend I had. He went overseas to Israel, and he heard a little boy yelling “ABBA!” And whenever he turned around, he saw a little boy running to his DAD! ABBA LITERALLY means “DADDY”!!!!!!!!!!! ❤

To Tenth Avenue North: I can't put into words what this song has meant to me the last few years. This is my favorite song, by my favorite band, inspired by the One who is always by my side. The singing is amazing, and the tune and instrumentals are beautiful, but what makes this song my favorite is that when I listen to it, the words take me beyond the music and I am consumed by the consciousness of the Hands that are holding me. It is so easy to become numb to the sensation when the world beats you around all of the time. So thank you for that.

I've had a horrible softening of my faith. Made me reflect about my faith in the past. Made me see people who hope as people with no responsibility for themselves.
But in my low times I've met some believers who've been patient with me. Letting me know how to listen to him. Asking what it is I can give. And the more I started giving and listening I felt the relief flow from my body. It's hard for me to think I'm worthy of forgiveness, but knowing he'll forgive me always makes my eyes water everytime. Listen for him. He's calling you. He won't let you go it alone. He's with you.
Ill never forget the time in my life when I was going through a very hard another break up and I was torn. I turned into a party and drinking so much cause I had no where to turn my anger too. my best friend that is a strong believer of Christ. She turned to me and told me to listen to this song and I did. I cried my heart so bad and cried in her lap till I fell asleep. I woke up hearing this song again and I looked at her as she never left me in her lap and told her tomorrow take me to church as we went I let all my anger and pain go with tears told the pastor Im wanting to be with Christ and I got Baptist to this song as well. I have been through a lot in the past 4 years after I gave my heart to Christ he answered my prayers and gave me a reason to live and that's my daughter, me and her dad are on the hard road right now and I don't want it to be back to the way it was, ready to move on with my life with our daughter cause god is by my side and he loves me and will put amazing man for me

When i had going good and blessed in my life?and here 7 years later im hearing this same annointed song sitting in a motel i lost my husband he passed away my baby boy in prison due to drugs and my oldest suffering Lust and looking for woman outside of marriage to fulfill his lustful desires i lost my house of 30 years morgage wow now that im hearing this beautiful song im crying and realizing that the same God yeshua that was with me then?when i had everything?he is still by my side now that i lost everything? Around the time this song came out, I had just gotten through a divorce, was just spiritually shattered, confused, lacking discernment. Following a supernatural encounter, I started listening to Christian music. But I was lonely and didn't think I could live without a man in my life. God told me, "Don't make a man your God." It felt like agony being alone, but since 09, I've been single...it's not easy and at my age,, the chances seem slim. So like an alcoholic, I take it a day at a time, though December through Valentines is the hardest. Through this song, God still asks me, "Why are you still searching, as if I'm not enough? To where will you run, child, to where will you run?" I'm glad He is holding on to me.

You ever get that feeling when someone is struggling with something, and you know EXACTLY what to do? It bugs you so much you just want to guide them to it? Well maybe that's how God feels about us. He just wants us to know how much he loves us, he hates to see us hurt or cry, and he will NEVER let us go, even when everyone else does. He wants us to know he is here, and that he will help us if we look to him. Sometimes its hard to remember that.

This is my favorite Christian song. 13 years ago I was going through the desert had moved to Tx from Ca. Was working were I didn't want to work didn't know anybody but my 2 grown children but they had a life of their own. I felt so alone 1 day driving to work I changed the chanel in the radio in my car to K Love and this song started to play. I stopped my car and cried to God ever since I feel God was talking to me. I live this song
As someone who was once Anorexic Nervosa. And always rejected god even as I go to Christian school I chose to involve myself with drugs and alcohol. At an age of only 14 (Currently) I just realized that through 3suicide attempts and a year of self harm, Im still alive. Im here to stay by the grace of god. And hes by my side

This song helped me through a few rough times. ( my cousins death, my aunt got stage 5 cancer, my paralyzed grandgrandmother got sick with pneumonia and the people taking care of her were on drugs and hurt her) there was NOTHING i could anout any of them and id cry all the time and not know what to do. When i got to my cousins funeral i was fine but when it was time to bury him his mom ran to the grave crying and got on her knees and droped the soil on his casket and at tjat moment i knew he was never coming back and i broke down. I couldnt breath. My cousin was 8 months old and named Branson. My moms brother was mamed Branson and died within the hour of being born. It was so hard and tis song well band got me through it all
