Well darn on the disc, doesn't look too bad to fix. Glad you got that done. I had oats for a couple years, then planted peas, plowed them under like this year, then went to wheat in the fall. I had a great crop of wheat that year. I tried repeating that this year but the lack of rain really caused problems.

Thanks Rusty!! The disc shouldn’t be too bad to fix. It definitely didn’t like that rock Lol. We’re starting to get a few rain chances in the forecast but they haven’t materialized yet. It felt good to get the Allis back out. Hope you have a good one Rusty!!!

Probably the slop in the monkey motion of the hitches that makes it snake down the road. We pull the drill behind the cultipacker, it's pretty good.. but we used to pull it behind the little disc sometimes, when it was too wet. The OLD JD disc hitches are a loose bunch of Monkey motion to begin with.. being probably 70+ years old, it's not good on the road..
And now we know why you just can't have nice things.. lol. New or old, everything breaks!
Good to see you getting it done!! Put your helper on the tractor next year 👍
Thank you Evan! Have a good one!!

Yeah, the disc didn’t like that rock. I’ve gotten a lot of crap out of this field, either rocks or bricks or chunks of old clay tile. I tried ratchet straps from one corner of the disc and drill to the hitch pin to try and get the slop out and it didn’t help. They are both tail heavy and pulling them together just doesn’t seem to work. But they do a good enough job for me. Thanks for watching, Ed! Hope you have a good day!!!

Good to see the mighty 45 back at work! If my plan comes together, I may get some video of one of mine sub-soiling the garden before long. Then if I can just figure out how to get the video on the computer, edit it, and get it posted here...... At least with harvest in the rear-view there's time for such foolishness, hope.

Thanks, Mike! That would be really awesome to see! I hope everything works out! I really would like to find a snap coupler subsoiler. The guy I bought the tractor from had one, but at the time I didn't think I would ever be trying to farm with it so I didn't buy it. Still kicking myself for that. Thanks for watching, Mike! I hope you have a good one!

@@evanaustin2636 You are my first subscriber, thanks! That's going to put a little pressure on me to get going on this thing. I have a fair amount of footage already if I can get it edited, even roughly. Don't think posting it will be hard. Put the sub-soiler on the NFE 45 today and got the garden mostly cleared off. Plow day tomorrow! I'm driving the 856 and 565 Oliver 5-16's up and a buddy is bringing the WFE 45 with 3-16's on the trailer. Will be a great day. Keep up the good work, always brightens my day when I see one of your videos pop up on the feed.

@@MikeJensen-wo7oh No pressure, Mike! I didn't have a clue how to make a video when I started, and I really still don't, but I enjoy doing it and it's fun getting to interact with people on here. Editing isn't too bad, just make sure you can find the "undo" button LOL (I use that a lot)
Plow day sounds like a blast! The 856 and the 5 bottom sounds like a fun combination. I had a 3-16 for my WD45, it pulled it but it was really a load for it. I had to leave the loader on for weight to plow with it or else the front end wouldn't stay on the ground. I ended up selling it and buying a 3-14, it handles it a lot better.
Thank you for the kind words, Mike! I'm glad you enjoy what I post. I don't feel like mine are that great but I try. Hope you have a great plow day!

@@MikeJensen-wo7oh Hey Mike, just watched your video! Just a couple things I wanted to say: not sure if you wanted the comments turned off or not, but if you want comments on the videos, you have to set it as NOT made for kids. I set mine as "made for kids" when I started, and I ended up changing that setting. Just a heads up, youtube doesn't make that real clear. Also, is it ok if I do a quick shout out video for your channel? Not that I have tons of viewers but it might help send a few people your way. Awesome video, Mike! Hope you have a good one

@@evanaustin2636 Thanks Evan! I changed it to not made for kids but it seems to still not be accepting comments. I've got quite a bit more stuff to post so we'll see how it goes. By all means, the shout out video would be great. Sometime in the future I intend to make one explaining how I got to here. Watching channels like yours and Chris and Ross, etc. I posted a link on Red Power today and got good reviews there and picked up a couple subscribers. Will post it on Unofficial Allis board in the morning. Take care, Mike.
