Sounds fantastic!!! Cant wait to try one out for myself. Ordered one last night. (16 ohm version) im just excited to play at any time of the day, see what my amp sounds like without the cabinet and mix and match cabinets with the wall of sound plugin, and get a good recording tone without going through the hassle of mic'ing it. Super excited!! And thanks for being one of the few people that has a demo of this product thats not a high gain metal type of tone and style.
So impressed! Was surprised how close it came with the clean tone in the captured sound within the daw. Still can’t beat the vibe of an amp in the room but I am getting too deaf to do that anymore! 🤣🤣
Nice man! i just bought the captor X and the creamback cab IR is so close the the creamback speaker in my hot rod, i do know what you mean about the vibe of the amp speaker in the room though, it's just not the same playing in headphones, cheers!
why wouldn't you crank your amp? i thought the whole point of running your amp into a load box was to get the cranked natural distortion sound while playing at bedroom levels? i haven't been able to get any real tone besides pure boring clean unless i crank my amp.
Just out of curiosity, when you tried using the external speaker output and blew a fuse, did you leave the internal speakers still connected on the main speaker output?
@@Karlgolden That's great thanks for the reply. I have a hot rod deluxe i was going to use the external speaker out with the 8 ohm version to pa when gigging and keep internal speakers connected for personal monitor purposes. Deluxe manual says 8ohm on both outputs, but with just external used it becomes 4ohm and an open plug in jack one, guessing its a similar arrangement on deville? I know i could use the thru to go to speaker instead but just know I'd forget to connect back up! :)
Depends what what you need it for. Do you want to attenuate a blues junior and still keep up with a drummer? Probably not. For bedroom use with the blues junior 20db attenuation would be about perfect.
If you soldered up something to take the 4 ohm load couldn’t you use the 8 ohm captor to just record and come out the monitors without having to buy another one.

Weber Z-matcher works to change impedance of the amp.
Nice one!
I have a hot rod deville....searching for info....this info....thanks!

Only just got it and testing things! Didn’t want to blow up my amp

No I don’t think I did

I like this product but can I use the attenuator with my 15 watt blues jr or will it be too quiet cause of the -20db?
I'm not sure my friend. Maybe check out their website
