Thank you for uploading a detailed video of this watch. I am new to the world of Seiko watches and recently got two Seiko watches. I am amazed at the craftsmanship of Grand Seiko will probably try to get one or a few someday.
The crown at 4 is not a gimmick; It doesn't really come into contact with the wrist and I actually like how Seiko has kept the crow and the date aligned. It also adds another big lumen marker to the dial. Unfortunately, the 4 o'clock crown also makes it harder to wind the watch while wearing it. It's not too bad but the traditionalist in me would rather have both the crown and the date at 3. I am not sure about the SBGE25x being a GMT Master killer, it is 2 mm thicker while providing 100m more water resistance. While the latter fact is of very little practical value, having a slimmer watch simply makes it more wearable and comfortable in any situation. Of course you will now get the wonderful Spring Drive in a 40mm diver's watch, which will be reason enough for many watch fans to consider the GS, also because of its lower MSRP.
well put. as someone who has been patiently waiting for a 40mm GS diver, the new SBGE GMT line gives me hope that it could be on the horizon. just hope the thickness doesn't breach into omega territory. would love spring drive also. we'll see.

This watch with a Glashutte Original style quick adjustable bracelet would be absolutely perfect. As it is, its a very amazing watch.
I like that GS increased the clasp size on these models, maybe we can expect some form of adjustment on the buckle in the future.🤩

Great watch ! My mean is not the micro hole. Astron have adjustment system on the buckle which is deferent to GS one😉

I believe Rolex started the aesthetic character of wrist watch but the movement by grand Seiko is the cutting edge technology, japanese ingenuity!
