This looks so good! Other promo videos for this camera have either very harsh or faded grade applied to them. This one looks natural and clean. Great job!
Thanks, I also saw that some of the videos were graded harshly although and I wanted to keep the soft rolloff in the Highlights and detail in the shadows! Grateful for your comment!

This is without a doubt the best a7siii footage so far. No other video compares. What was your experience with the color science? Your colors look great. How much tweaking, if any, did you have to do to achieve it?
Omw thanks Tanner, that means so much to me! Dude I did very basic grading because the colour coming straight out of the camera is really beautiful, so yes amazing colour and minor grading. I only applied the Sony Rec709 -> S-Log3 Lut, minor Curves and HSL Qualifier and that's it :)

Thanks a ton Sung, actually shooting S-log has never been easier. You don't have to overexpose and you simply use the Rec709 Gamma Assist with the tap of a button and what you see is what you get in post! Getting your exposure and white balance right is instant!

I only had a few hours with the camera before doing this shoot so at that time I didn't have any information about the Base ISO and I made the assumption from the FX9 that it should be on 800. Just found out that it has a dual base ISO at 16 000 as well, imagine if I knew that!?
Watching this video I keep being amazed at how good the colors look and I have never been a fan of Sony colors at all! I thought I was watching an ad from Sony untill I scrolled to the comments. The way the highlights rolloff, the greens, yellows and skintones look is amazing. Did you do some heavy grading in post or is it just the new color science?

Thanks Geoffrey, man it was sooooo easy to grade. Shooting also! They've improved the S-log3 to be similar to the FX9, no more noise in the shadows and no need to overexpose!

To be honest I wasn't sure because there's a setting in 10 BIT HD but 240FPS is only available in S&Q Mode and I wasn't able to establish whether it's 10 BIT or 8 BIT so I went the safe route and assumed it's 8 BIT. The 240FPS doesn't grade as well as the rest of the footage and it's more noisy.
Look at the huge dynamic range.... and its sooo clean. Forget 8K, this is all I need.

Why ISO800, WHEN A7S3 CAN do slog3 at 160ISO ?
For a bright sunny day
