Novel Seeds is indeed a great M4L device. Different features than SEQUND though. It really depends on what you are trying to achieve and your workflow.
@@alexkidofficial you are right ... they are different horses for different courses! Do you know an M4L device that enables the cc functions of Seqund to be mappable to Ableton functions?
I am a sucker for tools of this kind. The one I am fond of currently is Rozzer as it comes as a free Max for Live step sequencer. For this one tho the price is extremely tempting and affordable.
Is it possible to lock all parameters on a single step with one button?, rather than having to click each tiny little lock button on all the parameters?
Can you easily move all the notes together and also individually to hit start on any step in the bar? I guess a workaround to move them all at once would be to trigger with MIDI notes.
@michael7018 you can't because it is a monophonic sequencer and only one sequence is running at a time. But because it is a plug-in, you can of course open multiple instances to run multiple sequences in parallel.
Hallo LotusTunesAcademy.
No Step-Shifting (L/R milliseconds)??? Thats why I love OPAL. How can a sequencer be missing this??? This main feature is missing from many plugin sequencers
Not really... I released already my M4L patches in 2018 ( Cute Little Sequencer & Probabilistic Sequencer ) using that same logic and Melodic steps is from 2020 (which I believe was slightly inspired from mine... but I could be wrong). Plus you can't separate the rhythm from the melody in Melodic Steps unless you control it with the velocity. Yet it is not the same as controlling the gate trig as you cant' then have a hold note if you send a vel0 value that would mute the note. You also do not have 2 melodic lines and probability between these. You can always find similarities between sequencers and can get similar results, but I always found those were unsatisfying, hence doing my own devices with my own concepts, trying to maintain the most essential and musical features without being overwhelming.
That is very subjective :) ... you could probably apply this to any plug-in as a matter of fact or any synth. It depends on the results you are trying to achieve and your work process. Even if a plug-in ends up being unused, the inspiration and perspective it might have given you on a few tracks is always worth.
@@alexkidofficial Your sequencers are top of the line, man. They definitely stand out in terms of their user interface and creative possibilities. They have a unique and very positive vibe to them that I really enjoy. Everyone has their own views.. ;)
@@alexkidofficialhey, there is no factory presets with this? I bought it from PIB and was disapointed to see there was no presets, since going trhough presets is my main way of figuring out how a product works.
Bro, you changed my approach to music production ... you have a simple way for everything ... awesome work. and awesome product too.
Happy to hear that. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks, nice tutorial. I can never seem to get good results from sequencers, but I did pick this one up a couple months ago and hope it gets better.
Love this sequencer, thanks
Another great video, thank you.
I'm humming and hawing about this sequencer or Novel Seeds with the Polymath sequencer.

Seqund is the best sequencer i think..Very nice crafted, because it's developer is a legendary dj and he knows what he does with basslines.
Thank you for your kind words 😊
Awesome sequencer. Thanks for the demo.
Cheers mate. Thanks for the comment!
Ableton really needs to pick you up as a guest educator!
That's kind of you to say, thanks :D
@@lotustunesacademyyou need to check out Stepic by DeviseMeister
Very nice tool! Will try it ASAP
Is there a "note tie" function to create legato glides or is that the "hold" lane?

Did you get to look at 510's M4L sequencers too? Their bundles look amazing!
Is it possible to lock all parameters on a single step with one button?, rather than having to click each tiny little lock button on all the parameters?
Does it have any slide function?
What application is that? The one where in you added it all.
what do you think of this vs stepic and hy sequencers?
VERY INTERESTING , TANK YOU :)

I'm very please to see your tutorials are still in Ableton 11.... since everyone is hype to now use Ableton 12
Yeah, I switch back and forth between the two ;)
How do you set it in Cubase?
Hi
Thanks for you nice videos..
Can you do something about Flexgroov from max for live..
That would be great 🙏
Good idea, will do!
Esta bueno. 🤙🏻
Gracias!
These "scale" buttons and the purple color remind me of Vital
Can you assign different midi channels to each sequence

I have seqund and you can make track like Mood Child or Loco Dice
Al is replacing us step by step )
This is not AI thankfully
This is basically 'melodic steps' as a plugin

who is Kevin ?
This vs stEpic?
Stepic is boss
What a silly oversight to not have an aax version. Oh well!
after years the amount off sequencers a person has it almost like a library , one more will just end up on the pile ...

I mean stepic is alot better imo this doesn’t offer much different
