The meteor slice while inner child came out as he was about to release his shikai was pure perfection in my book. PEAK ANIMATION
Don't forget about his shikai reveal and Gremmys face.
"What can you see in their eyes" was the perfect song they could have used, I mean it perfectly describes Gremmy, in his eyes we see his demise and he hasn't even been hit yet by it. Actual PEAK scene composition
My favorite part. It’s like he’s a kid having fun again when most of the other captains would probably find a meteor terrifying.
@@dwainemassey7863in the Manga they have shown everyone’s reaction in the meteor from Captains and Sternritter including Ywach. Bur Anime cut off a whole bulk of it. Just to highlight the whole fight. I find it very short also.

@@MrGksarathy I do not she is just his bankai. I think she is a manifestation of his zanpakto trying to reach out to him since he won't talk to his spirit she came to him instead to interact. Although I do think this explanation is the case, a shinigamai must be very powerful to create another being like what happened.

@@ryanlapeer4230 To achieve Bankai is to manifest, in some form or shape, your Zanpakuto into the outer world ("real world") from the inner world ( inner zanpakuto world that reside in the blade).
Yachiru is his blade manifested in outer world, thus you could say Yachiru is his bankai in a manner of speaking. So while not even awakening his blade in the inner world (thus still considered sealed) or even sensing that his lieutenant was his zanpakuto spirit manifested unintentionally is very impressive.
Kenpachi awoke Bankai halfway in a short time with a sword he stole (that was in a sealed state) and yet could not release his Shikai or even know his sword's name.

A huge part of this achievement is his monstrous spiritual pressure which was so potent that it damaged his blade, but a part of issue of the damage was some disharmony between his power and his blade's. Kenpachi power was larger while the blade's power was mostly sealed off.
Kenpachi is basically the embodiment of "i am the fight"

Impressive for sure but I think he could only do all that with the eye patch because Gremmy kept subconsciously leveling him up to be that strong by viewing him as a monster. I think if it wasn't for that the eye patch woulda had to come off.

If I recall, when the manga chapter with this came out, this was during that weird time when the Big Three all had a scene where someone summoned a meteor.
Akainu with his fist, Madara with the Rinnegan, and Bleach with Gremmy. Insane times!!

The real killing point of this episode is Kenpachi's VA. You can feel the joy he has battling Gremmy every single sentence is amazing. They doing it so right with this season!
Nah fam, the killing point is his transition from adult to child as he releases his Shikai and slices the meteor. Absolutely wholesome
Also (for anyone that didn't know) same as Akainu's VA from One Piece. He kills it with these types of aggressive characters
All I Ask from the animators is to give Kenpachi some time to laugh maniacally especially in the Gérard fight. What makes Kenpachi terrifying were the fights where he was getting cut up but he kept laughing and pushing his limits

As much as I love Kenpachi with a katana, that massive axe fits him so well!
kenpachi is 100% and axe or a mace guy. and yes, he'd find a way to cut things with a mace.
His original sword was basically a blunt instrument. He never sharpened it

Seeing this moment in the manga was hands down my fave Bleach moment. Nozarashi suits Kenpachi well. I'm so happy to finally see this moment animated.
Having Kenpachi’s inner child come out in the thrill of battle was an excellent touch not found in the manga. Its even cooler, cause I remember reading Lubu vs Thor in Record of Ragnarock a couple years ago, and I remember thinking that LuBu looked just like Kenpachi, and in his final moments his inner child came out too.

I really enjoyed this fight. I just wished they showed everyone’s reaction to the meteor like the manga. But they adapted 9 chapters into this episode alone, so there had to be a lot of cuts unfortunately.
The episode is literally fun. It took one second. Bleach, the king of anime ❤

That moment when he turns into a kid is one of the most beautiful animated moments I have ever seen.
It is barely a few seconds but the joy is imense.
And the sketch look the animators gave it I think celebrate the joy of drawing and animating. Just like Kenpachi when he was a kid they are celebrating the joy of first sketching out the character.

When this arc came out I was complaining about the art style
Not knowing how epic the story gets
This man is in the same category as hogyoku aizen just because of his raw power
While i feel the "drink, Nozarashi" could have had a more guttural tone and scream to it, seeing the transition from old to young Zaraki brought the glee he was feeling to the surface. Its like finding that one thing in a game that makes you feel renewed, young and happy again.

I like to imagine that Nozarashis shikai does have an ability. That it can cut through anything. Not like Kenpachi is strong so he can cut through anything but i mean that Nozarashi gives him the ability to cut through ANYTHING.
Now that kenpachi has his shikai maybe we can finally get some real yumichika moments he keeps his powers hidden bc of how extraordinary it is and bc hes in a fighting squad but now maybe kenpachi would change his mind on his rule about projectile zanpakto since he has ascended...i hope so bc yumichika is one of my fav characters and his powers are over-powered this why they dont let him shine😂😂

It’s heavily implied that Yachiru, the pink hair girl if you will, is Nozarashi yes. Well, a child version of her, because the spirit of Nozarashi is an adult woman. But long story short, yes Yachiru is his Zanpakto
