I also had the pleasure to visit there and I just could not leave, lol. There was so much stunning beauty in every direction and restored to a level rarely seen collectively like that, it was just hard to walk away from such dramatic visual appeal. But what catches you by surprise is how this interesting deep appreciation sneaks up on you. If you e been there, you know exactly what I mean. Dear Jay, may i ask for another „pandemic edition“ once in a while? Just you, one of your vehicles and a blue jumpsuit… thats all it needed. Those episodes where the essence of your work - just pure.
When it comes to many of these museum show cars, the miles they are driven by Jay on this show is probably the only miles that it will ever get put on them from that point forward, which is sad but i understand
I guess it's good for the car to go out for a spin from time to time-just to keep it from "seizing up" [use it or lose if for certain parts of a the car ?].

Cameron does an excellent job of representing the Nethercutt Museum, plus there seems to be a very pleasant dynamic between he and Jay. The RR, as with each vehicle which Cameron shares with Jay, is absolutely stunning.
I love it when Cameron brings a car over. It's like watching a couple of guys playing "Dueling Banjos", except instead of instruments, they play using car knowledge!😂 And, it's pretty clear that Jay loves this beautiful car. Thanks for bringing this elegant beast to the Garage, Cameron, and thanks and kudos to Jay and Crew. Excellent episode!✌️❤🙂🇨🇦
I feel so fortunate that Jay and Cameron and the Northcutt museum share these gorgeous and priceless cars with everyone this way. Thanks for another GREAT video 👍

I remember that car...My father was friend's with a man whom did restoration-work on it, having my father give him a hand on occasion...Great to see it looking so lovely!...
The "power brakes" you mention are derived from two brake servo patents; one designed by Hispano-Suiza and the other by Renault. It is a marvellous system and is a pre-cursor to anti-lock brakes. When correctly set up, the brakes are extremely powerful. The RR gearbox driven brake servo was used from 1923 until the late 1960s. Not without its issues though! In 1923, an experimental Silver Ghost fitted with the new brake servo system smashed the glass out of its Lucas headlamps at the end of Nightingale Road in Derby - needless to say Rowbotham and Hives, two key figures in RR history, were far from impressed at this ordeal! Eventually, the servo was engineered to work beautifully, albeit a complex and over-fussy design. They also have a tendency to fail when oil from the gearbox impregnates the clutch linings of the servo itself. For more information, please drop us an email.
