I'm sorry to say that but latin spoken by an italian sounds terrible. They should learn to pronounce any single final consonant without that -ae that they pronounce at the end. I hope I won't offend anyone, but I had to say that.

You can get use to it. At least that pronuntiation have a long history (lot of religious music is pronunced that way). I used to hate american accent when they speak latin. Then I heard Terence Tunberg. Now it's ok for me.

Surely it sounds terrible for you ... but surely the Italian accent is the closest to the original, for obvious reasons. I'm not talking about the pronunciation, reconstituted or ecclesiastical ( there is a lot of italians speaking with the reconstituited pronunciation!) I am talking about the accent. This is different. On the other hand, no Italian would have the ridiculous claim to speak the old frisone better than a Dutchman, or the ancient Gothic better than a German ...
