After this rescue, we rushed Washington to the hospital, and after receiving medical treatment, I had to take Loreta to urgent care. The doctor cleaned up her wounds (you can't see the bite in her arm on this video), he gave her antibiotics and pain killers, and she will always have a scar on her arm from this rescue. She is going to be OK :-)
Washington is still in bandages, but as you can see, he is up and running (and jumping, and kissing, and hugging).

You can watch Noels amazing work on YT. Look at his amazing implanted prosthesis he makes for animals. And they have both the same touch to the animal!

What does that have to do with this video? Neither Eldad (the hero), Loreta (the heroine), nor Washington (the rescuee) used illegal drugs here. The veterinarian probably used anesthetics, antibiotics, and other drugs, but he is licensed to do so, and so they were not illegal.
Loreta Frankonyte, this name already sounds like from a super-heroine and she even behaves like one! Gets bitten, covered in feces, dragged around by giant doggos but still keeps going and is so loving and gentle towards all these animals, it's really inspiring. I really admire her!

To be honest, I am surprised they haven't been bitten more often. But they are pros and despite the neglect and abuse, doggies are sweethearts.❤

This made me cry because he bit her but then was ok with her and even let her rub his belly after. He was scared ..I dont blame him. I would “do it again” too. Thats a scar I would be proud of. Donating now.
It was great that you showed the bite, and the reaction to the bite. Sometimes you can't save a dog without getting bit, and it just comes with the territory. The fact that Loreta was not angry with the dog about the bite was great to show the dog was just scared, not inherently dangerous.
bennitori4 I honestly wouldn't fault someone far feeling a bit angry or scared, since it is a natural response that not everyone can hold back. Not hurting the animal, but just expressing frustration or fear.
It makes Loreta's response pretty special.

I can't imagine the pain the puppy felt with his sore leg, and his tail was still wagging! He is such a brave and sweet dog.
It’s amazing how loving these dogs are when they have been mistreated and dumped. Yes he was so scared and it was his only way of defending himself but what a sweetheart he turned out to be.

Amanda B She had to do something. I know it was wrong. I hate when a dog gets abused. But they couldn't risk for dog to get away and hurt himself. Now he is okay. And she didn't choke him. If she had a choice I'm sure she wouldn't have done it. She was just holding him. And they saved him. So don't make a problem out of this.
Amanda B that's what you need to do to save the poor things life. It's cruel I know but she did what she had to do to save the dog. Every time they do that they end up taking it somewhere safe and then it gets a forever home. That's what's good about them actually doing that. Although it might hurt the animal, it's what's good for the people and the animals.

I know what you are intended to mean. Hope For Paws deserved some sort of humanitarian award for all the caring they show toward animals and all their rescue/rehoming efforts.
This reminded me of a rescue Eldad did alone in his early youtube videos. A dog bite him, but then when Eldad brought her savely to the car she licked Eldad's injured hand on the way to the vet. That was really sweet.

Hayley Smith they actually said that where they found him was in the middle of nowhere. So you really think he would of just wondered all the way in to the countryside where there’s not a town in site. He’s paws probably either been bitten by a coyote or ran over by a car. Either way yes dogs don’t wonders miles & miles away from civilization. He was definitely dumped there.

Actually it's not all that uncommon for dogs to get lost out in the middle of nowhere. Camping trips, day hikes gone wrong or even running off from a rest area along the interstate have all ended with dogs getting lost. It's clear that at one time he was a pet, and, despite his distrust early on, he's obviously very happy to be back with people.
If he really was dumped then I'm right there with you, but it is possible that his ending up out there was entirely by accident. Either way I'm just really glad to see that he's safe now.

he may have got away , in 1992 my mom found a tiny 3 lb yorkie in her yard, she was recently groomed and had blue painted toenails, so she wasn't out for longshe looked for 3 months to find the owner , no one ever claimed herso I drove to ohio to get her, she was about 3 at that time and I had her for 15 more years, she was juts over 18 when she passed, I always wondered if someone had a broken heart because they lost her and never found hershe had the most spoiled life and was a total diva and was a blessing but I wish I knew how she came to be in my moms yard and hope if she got out and lost that the owner by grace of god knew she was loved and cared for
