I own Tonka Cola and it smells like cola, but it doesn't smell like cherry cola. I might have to pick this one up. I love to layer Tonka Cola with Rouge smoking (root beer float) or Killian's Born To Be Unforgettable (lime, fizzy cola). I'm sure any of these 3 fragrances would layer perfectly with Emir's Cherry Cola as well.

I recently purchased Monocline 05 by Maison Alhambra, which I think will be a really nice summery scent since it seems like a very fresh, light, and airy skin scent. I have been wearing it while working out and it has been nice - definitely unisex. I just got Zanzibar and I’m not mad at it. I love the creaminess in it… now it does have a slight blue vibe that leans masculine but when I layer with AG’s Cloud, the combo is 10/10

I have Cherry Cola. It’s great by itself, and also layered on top of a vintage EL Youth Dew (it also has cola as a note). Zanzibar will be on my list. I live in NJ, near many beach towns. It will be perfect.

Hello Arahi, I definitely tried the cherry cola perfume. I was expecting a sweet yummy scent and it was not that at all. It leaned too masculine for me. I gave that one away to a friend's son. I just got the Lattafa Shahd. It was okay, not a bad scent, but not a love at first sniff. I am pass that one along too. Thank you for the reviews.

Also FYI: Fragrance World- Anabi.........inspired by TF Cherry Smoke......very decent scent....major cherry opening...but then the cherry lessens....drydown is cherry powdery-ish incense (?). Needs to macerate...I think. I did not care for Zanzibar at first...but I let it "sit" for 2 weeks....and then wore it again....and I now enjoy it !!!!! the coconut note really emerged too. IMHO

I have Amouage Sunshine man, and it's a perfect summer scent for me. I feel like the cedar is what may lean it more masculine. I struggle with cedar and birch if they are to prominent.

Hello and happy Sunday! No to my nose there really isn’t…. Paula’s Ibiza brings a totally different set of Florals that make quite a difference with Frangipani taking the lead! I also find it to have a deeper Marine quality than Zanzibar. Another noticeable difference is the Incense note you find in Zanzibar which, while being very faint still adds a twist to what you would expect to be a summer marine fragrance! The other point of notice is that Zanzibar has a very prominent Iris/Violet note that also makes it a tad powdery…. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I get thrown off when there's Oud in the name of the fragrance and yet zero (detectable) oud in the actual perfume. I wish ME houses wouldn't do that. I tend to avoid oud fragrances even though I like some beginner oud ones. Case and point: Sunrise Killer Oud - no oud listed in the notes. 😂😂
@@ArahiWorld I decided to let it macerate. I date all of my scents with a round sticker that I put on the bottom of each bottle and then I can reference how long it’s been sitting. I have a maceration tray and it all works great for me and my collection. I haven’t yet counted all my middle eastern fragrances but I sure have a lot and I listen to your recommendations. Yes, l have both. Al Nashama has more of the plum note… really leans slightly feminine. The plum sweetens after two weeks of maceration. I love it for summer and spring. Vintage Radio smells like Paragon to me.. 1 :1. I use to have Paragon as well. 😊 I usually wear both year round … More AN sprays in spring / summer… more VR sprays in fall/winter. 🥰 I’m never purchasing the OG again. You won’t go wrong either way.
cherry cola??? Due to such a stupid name, I don't want to have such a scent at home, no matter how beautiful it would be.... Emir needs to find some nicer names for perfumes and better scent combinations. I don't want to smell like food or drink or caramel. I just got Zanzibar and I’m not mad at it. I love the creaminess in it… now it does have a slight blue vibe that leans masculine but when I layer with AG’s Cloud, the combo is 10/10

Your description of Zanzibar Asad reminds me of the Ylang in Gold dry down which I love because it smells like toasted coconut and vanilla in the dry down on me. Hello Arahi, I definitely tried the cherry cola perfume. I was expecting a sweet yummy scent and it was not that at all. It leaned too masculine for me. I gave that one away to a friend's son.

Also FYI: Fragrance World- Anabi.........inspired by TF Cherry Smoke......very decent scent....major cherry opening...but then the cherry lessens....drydown is cherry powdery-ish incense (?). Needs to macerate...I think. I did not care for Zanzibar at first...but I let it "sit" for 2 weeks....and then wore it again....and I now enjoy it !!!!! the coconut note really emerged too. IMHO

I have Amouage Sunshine man, and it's a perfect summer scent for me. I feel like the cedar is what may lean it more masculine. I struggle with cedar and birch if they are to prominent.

Is Zanzibar similar to Paula's Ibiza by Loewe?
Hello and happy Sunday! No to my nose there really isn’t…. Paula’s Ibiza brings a totally different set of Florals that make quite a difference with Frangipani taking the lead! I also find it to have a deeper Marine quality than Zanzibar. Another noticeable difference is the Incense note you find in Zanzibar which, while being very faint still adds a twist to what you would expect to be a summer marine fragrance! The other point of notice is that Zanzibar has a very prominent Iris/Violet note that also makes it a tad powdery…. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I get thrown off when there's Oud in the name of the fragrance and yet zero (detectable) oud in the actual perfume. I wish ME houses wouldn't do that. I tend to avoid oud fragrances even though I like some beginner oud ones. Case and point: Sunrise Killer Oud - no oud listed in the notes. 😂😂

@@ArahiWorld I decided to let it macerate. I date all of my scents with a round sticker that I put on the bottom of each bottle and then I can reference how long it’s been sitting. I have a maceration tray and it all works great for me and my collection. I haven’t yet counted all my middle eastern fragrances but I sure have a lot and I listen to your recommendations. Yes, l have both. Al Nashama has more of the plum note… really leans slightly feminine. The plum sweetens after two weeks of maceration. I love it for summer and spring. Vintage Radio smells like Paragon to me.. 1 :1. I use to have Paragon as well. 😊 I usually wear both year round … More AN sprays in spring / summer… more VR sprays in fall/winter. 🥰 I’m never purchasing the OG again. You won’t go wrong either way.
