My friends and j from college would listen to this together, I've lost contact with them since, but I know they would still get down to this song. Cheers buddies. 🍻 miss ya. Hope your well.
Well Joe in a perfect world maybe that would be the way that works but it'll never happen here. Too many people are just too concerned with talentless fools and seeing spanks shaking their asses rather than watching somebody with real talent perform
I agree (that 1 guy) but that's 1 thing a lot of ppl don't know Is ppl that make music in TEXAS make there songs with passion and we different for that H -TOWN born much luv
No cap I came from nun and thought I was nun this song made me think differently and it makes me calm I love this song I will neva forget this song💯 WYK4L
+David Conner I agree but that's not an irregular beat. He's mostly playing half notes until the times signature change. Then he plays quarter notes with some syncopation.
I grew up in West Texas. It's a rough place and brings the worst out of you if you let the weather get to you. It will drive you nuts. But if you can manage, it can be a peaceful place.
@@wellfedstarvingartist I too, grew up in West Texas. I like Shakey but I was just making the point that I thought it was his best music. Peace, Love!!
After playing this video thousands of times...I just realised his little invention of the Tamborine, briefcase kick drum....and lets just say I am quite giddy about it ;P
So I’ve got this set downloaded along with a version of roll the bones and it’s the absolute best. It’s ALWAYS what I come back to when listening to his music.
He seemed a little spaced out, but that's the best version of the song I've heard yet. Great job towards Shakey; as always, thanks for sharing the music.
I saw him at a concert in NC. After the show a bunch of us caught up with him, and one guy asked him about it. He said a friend of his had put it together for him a couple years back. It hooks up to an amp, and get's a really awesome sounds when he starts playing.
We wandered Into The Oasis restaurant in Austin Texas on Lake Travis six or seven years ago, and shakey was performing at the brewery. We were blown away by his music. He was using the suitcase bass drum back then also which made it all the more interesting to see him here.
"I found a snake in an apple tree, I didn't trust a word he hissed to me, no! He said, 'must be awful lonely trying to save the world, buy a collared shirt and try to f--- some girls.'" Favorite lyric.
When ever I read the comments and they happen to be some of the lyrics, I always manage to read the comment as the person is singing the lyrics. it's just creepy now

More artists like this should be winning Grammy's, instead of the over-produced bullshit the record companies hype these days do.

That's the TEXAS style I love it pure passion in tha song
Singing, playing rhythm on guitar, and an irregular beat on the bass drum. This man is incredibly talented!
Ikr!

Yea this my favorite version of this song
I can't stop listening to this amazing man...
Still can't :)
I'm feeling it for sure, always repeatedly listening to this.
Still vastly underrated. I don't care if he was stoned. Some of the best music he ever did. Maybe West Texas does that to you?
The fact he's high makes it way cooler in my opinion plus he sings all his songs a different way each time that's one of the reasons I like him
That's called passion and I love it that's what TEXAS does to u
I love TEXAS for that reason💯

tone on that guitar is absolutely lovely
3 mics on the amp
Pound for pound, I think this has got to be Shakey's best set out there. It's just perfect.
Nathaniel Erlandson agreed

ABSOLUTELY flawless!!!
fantastic songwriter, he's often said this is his favorite song that he's written
If it makes me want to move and shake, or I can feel the raw emotion through the singers voice and words, definitely a great song.
Thanks Shakey you sure make this life better.
It's so amazing how many versions i've heard from a single artist, this is truly phenomenal and i love it
Nobody:
Shaky graves: welllllllllllllll
Just saw him perform in DC last night and this was his best song.

His guitar skills are literally mesmerizing
He seemed a little spaced out, but that's the best version of the song I've heard yet. Great job towards Shakey; as always, thanks for sharing the music.
I wish I could find the version I got off a music download app a while ago. He really killed it on that one.
The audiotree live version.
Just saw him last night at The Bottom of the Hill, and he was spectacular! Blew me away, can't wait to see him again!

"I found a snake in an apple tree, I didn't trust a word he hissed to me, no!
He said, 'must be awful lonely trying to save the world, buy a collared shirt and try to f--- some girls.'"
Favorite lyric.
Me too. Exactly what he'd say... and it works on so many.
....psssst "Hey Jack....I got a woody now....well, not right now, lol. But I have ability🥰"
Fuckin'... GOD !

Could someone tell me the chords to this song?
