One of the many reasons I want Dixie Kong in Smash is not just because "its Donkey Kong Country 2", or that it can add to the list of female candidates in smash, but because of the sound tracks from this game specifically. I don't know why but this was one of the most memorable osts from this game back when I played this as a kid. In fact actually when I was a kid I hated music in general. But this ost, along with my most hated enemy in the game but the most interesting level design, made it my best memory from this game. In other words, thank you for restoring this ost. Here's hoping Dixie Kong will be in Smash Ultimate and we will see a recreation of this ost, or other osts from this game. They are just too good to pass up.

Ugh these levels were soooo beautifull. i remember in my younger days just looking at my tiny game boy screen admiring the honey and colors. I could never beat King K. Rool in that game though.
I know, right? K. Rool was fairly easy in DKC, then super hard in DKC2; they toned down the difficulty for DKC3, though. I personally don't remember beating DKC2 on SNES, but I think I might've. Either way, I've only beaten it recently on an emulator by (cheating) using savestates. :-|
