Hidalgo might be the most underrated guitar man in the country. Didn't even make Gibson's "top 100 or whatever". Acoustic, electric, flamenco... he can play with them all.
Los Lobos touched my heart so much after I broke up with a girl from East LA. The girl was not so much into them but these spanish language songs seemed to captivate me as I tried to understand her temper. I know it must sound a bit cheesey as gringos can be, but this song and Estoy Sentado Aqui came into play so often after losing my Mexican sweetheart. I learned how to accept death after that and appreciate the blood that keeps us all wishing for something real. That is the howl of the wolves.
It's uncanny how the song tells my story. My husband felt the same way .he shot himself though his heart .It's a beautiful song but for me it's reality
These guys are so talented. Especially David (singer here) He plays drums, accordion, mandolin, and is a great guitar player. No matter what style they play the instrumentation is always excellent. Would gladly pay to see them again.
Esta rola fue parte importante en un momento difícil de mi vida. Me ofreció pautas y confirmó sentimientos. Dolores que no terminan por irse. Una canción maravillosa.
i recently them in NM at the enchilada festival!! amazing! they had everyone dancing!! including me! it was a real treat! my dad would have loved to see them! i love this song!
What an excellent song - and an excellent CD of the same name too! Talk about a band full of talent! How I would love to be able to play like David Hidalgo! Thanks for posting this video!
Los besos que me diste mi amor Son los que me están matando Y las lágrimas me están secando Con mi pistola y mi corazón Y aquí siempre paso la vida Con la pistola y el corazón The kisses you gave me, my love, are the ones that will kill me, and the tears I’ve cried are drying with my pistol and my heart, and my life here goes by with the pistol and the heart
Los Lobos have their place in the musical Pantheon. However, it should be told that sometimes they miss proper pronunciation of the Spanish language. Nevertheless, their rendition is excellent and that little flaw can be overlook. Thank you, Jose, from Phoenix, AZ
Before judging their pronunciation, you should learn that "Pantheon" is not a word in spanish languaje. The correct one is "panteón". Also, the idea of someone earning a place in a panteón (cemetary) is wrong because in México most of the people are buried in a panteón, no matter the things they had done while living. I know this stuff because I have lived my entire life in México
To be honest I don’t like this interpretation, and take it as constructive criticism, but really this theme is not up to its reputation built over many years in the music genre, they should study more the song and diction of Spanish to refined and interpret it as they are able to do much better.

Clapton thinks enough of his skills to feature him at the Crossroads Guitar Festival.

+Jose OK Jose.. LOL
I'm sure the Spanish would say that you miss proper pronunciation of the Spanish language. No seas tonto, Jose.

Él se refiere en un sentido etimológico, que significa algo como "todos los dioses" (pan-theos)... un templo dedicado a los dioses de la música.
Is that Ry Cooder playing with him?
Or is there a tab somewhere
Hola amigos muy buena eh!!

:(

ime gustó pues no conozco otras versiones, pero voy a buscarlas ahora!
Jose Luis Quintana sabra de alguna otra interpretacion
@@betomora3301 I looked and can't find any others either. I love that they put haupango on a fairly recent US released album. It's beautiful!
Pinches arreglos
