  • ⚠️ Warning ⚠️
    Flashing the BIOS of your RX 580 2048SP graphics card is a complex and risky process. It can lead to serious issues, including:
    Permanent Damage: Incorrect flashing can render your GPU non-functional, often referred to as "bricking."
    Warranty Void: Modifying the BIOS typically voids the manufacturer’s warranty, meaning you won’t be able to get support or replacements if things go wrong.
    System Instability: Incorrect BIOS settings can cause your system to become unstable or fail to boot.

    drive.google.c...
    www.techpoweru... - To look up your GPU vbios and Look for your Model and Bios version (Usually it has the same bios version but very different, I know. it's weird.)
    GPU-Z: www.techpoweru...
    AND PLEASE BACK-UP YOUR BIOS USING GPU-Z BEFORE YOU FLASH
    SO YOU WONT BRICK YOUR GPU.

    I followed this guide and at first, I failed to flash my Sapphire Nitro "RX 580 2048SP" with the firmware from TechPowerUp and ended up bricking my GPU. Opened up my GPU after and checked the number on the die itself and wouldn't you know, I have an RX 480 instead of a 2048SP. Flashed the GPU with BIOS for a 480 and no more crashes!

      EXACTLY! I was so confused when the GPU arrived I thought it was just overheating due to some old thermal paste, after doing tons of research for MONTHS looking for solutions and stuff, I finally had my answer which is changing the BIOS itself on the GPU, I swear it took me months looking for solutions (already upgraded to 1660 Super for god sake) but either way I'm glad you fixed your GPU. Good luck at gaming buddy

      @@goatedthagawd If you don't have the money yet, You can try just make sure you have something to use to flash your BIOS back if you messed it up, just proceed with Caution if you did, I could try to help other people out if they are having issues about it.

      in my opinion? 2048sp YES, It's a budget card.
      BUT if you have the same issues as mine, you can solve it the way I did and now i'm playing it without any issues.

      It's different for other people, some RX 580 2048sp have different BIOS, just back up yours. Just look it up on the GPU-Z thingy.

      @@LifeBoxGaming can i flash my gpu with the same bios as my bios but a diffrent card? im having trouble finding one. Mine is rx 580 2048sp VRGMPL. Also when i tried to save my bios with gpu Z, it said Ellesmere, any clues about that?

      @LifeBoxGaming  14 дней назад

      @@Wilqposnb Sorry for the late reply, I think your card is under the Ellesmere GPU thingy, www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/amd-ellesmere.g795
      try to look at your actual GPU for the serial number or look for anything that could Identify your GPU on Techpowerup site.
