Since I have my Z up for oil change again. I'll be pointing out where the OEM oil cooler on the Z goes and what to expect when you buy one of these newer Z.

At what temperature does the factory oil cooler kick in?
I just got a 2016 370 nismo and did a canon run this weekend and my oil temp went up pretty fast should I throw a aftermarket cooling kit ?

This oil cooler will work fine on a cool night, do one canyon run and you'll cook your oil
Works fine for me. Never went above 220*
This is an oil warmer not cooler.
Will it warm the oil or cool it when the oil is hotter than the water?
@@dielaughing73 I’m not sure what water you’re referring to, but I believe it warms it up faster when you first start the car.
noice man, i see you live in MN too... i've got the 2014 base (sport package) for my "summer" car... hopefully it'll get more track oriented lol. I'll be trying to do a dctc track day at the least next year. Looking to do the minimum to get it ready (oil cooler / brakes).

Hmong Sunglass it’s the plan, but I am expecting twins in spring so ambitious is correct I am just lucky to be able to keep the car for now.

Best aftermarket oil cooler for the VQ's is one made by Uniquemotorsports_jorgie on Instagram 40 row oil cooler for $400 much cheaper than a 34 row z1 or a 19 row Mishimoto

No it's not, stop spreading misinformation. Either get the cooler from Z1 or Fast Intentions, unique motorsports is a terrible shop. There are so many people Jorgie fucked over by doing halfassed work and none of the guys that work there are ASE certified. Plus you don't need a bigger cooler than 34 rows. 1000+ hp VQ's don't run bigger than 34 row coolers, anything above that is just more weight.
