Loved this. It's a one-time show at the Roxy in LA. There's a 45 minute video that shows the making of this. MTV was originally planning on doing several crossovers, but one they did this one, they figured nothing would compare so they knew to stop when ahead. All 6 songs are 🔥 !
This was a special concert they did for fans of their fan clubs. They each had 200 fans and this was done at the Roxy theater in Los Angeles. The fans didn't find out about it till probably about a week or two before the concert and then each ticket was like $1,000 and only open to the fan clubs. They did 1 concert with Jay-Z in 2005 where they did all 6 songs again for the fans who couldn't get tickets to their show at the Roxy Theater. Jay-Z also joined him on stage on and off throughout the years doing one or two of the songs from Collision Course.
Jay's reaction gets me every time. I know it's been months since you uploaded this, so I hope in the time since you've been able to watch the full MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups special that this show was for and got the whole back story on Jay specifically asking to work with Linkin Park. Jay has done some really nice tributes to Chester since he passed as well, so I think the whole Collision Course collaboration really brought them all together.
Jay-Z was asked who he would like to work with and he immediately said Linkin Park. I agree that this performance is 🔥! The album is called Collision Course. RIP Chester ❤
Jay Z did Numb/Encore at the end of his concerts after Chester died as a tribute to Chester till the end of the tour he was on. He reminded his fans to check on their friends and family who are going through hard times because you just never know what's going to happen next. Jay Z respected Chester for his dedication to his career.
They did a special mashup on MTV back in the day. I remember watching this concert. I had to get the CD remix because it was that good of a combination. You should check the whole concert.
Even it you don't do a reaction to it you should watch the video that has the whole concert and the behind the scenes. It is 45 minutes long but it is definitely worth watching. They did this collab and there was no egos at all because they respected each other. They all did what they each do best and it is what made the collab work. After Chester died Jay Z did a tribute to Chester at the end of his concerts. He reminded his fans that if you know someone who is currently dealing with mental health problems or dealing with a lot in their life to reach out to them and make sure they're doing okay. He said you never know what will happen next.
I picked up on the Jay Z look too when I first saw. Was laughing my butt off! Like daaaaaaeeeeeeeem! Have you ever listened to Qwerty (live in Japan)? Chester is ridiculous!!!!! RIP, you incredibly talented, tortured soul.
If you go and watch the concerts they swear all the time. They just didn't swear on the first 2 albums but they would swear on stage and in interviews all the time.
Cool, great reaction! Also, check out Bloodywood- Indian folk metal. 1-Gaddaar 2-Yaad 3-Endurant and many more of them. 4-Aaj and many more. Pick your choice!
This is a one time show were they performed most of the songs from this album. But they also had Jay Z invited to perform 1 song in some other concerts LP did
So when will you get around to Diana Ankudinova? (Phonetically pronounced Dee AH na An ku DEE nava) There are so many great songs that I don't know where to begin to suggest. "Wicked Game," "Derniere Danse," "Rechenka," and most recently, "I Can't Help Falling In Love," "The Crow"......
I dug linkin park hybrid theory when I was younger. then I got into tool and felt like linkin park was too much like pop music and never went to a show. my loss.
I saw linkon park when they released their first big album can't remember the name for the life of me but this was back in 2001 in salt lake. It was them xibit and mudayne. Hybrid something.. I'm a bad fan
Where's the music? Rap is not music. I'll have to pass on this one. Sorry, that is my reaction and personal opinion, so don't get bent out of shape over it.
While I respect your opinion, I have to respectfully disagree. Although I rarely find myself listening to rap/hiphop these days, I still have an appreciation for it. Though it may not share the same talent through using instruments, but the song writing can definitely be equivalent to any other genre if not beyond if done right. Definitely not bent out of shape, because I know plenty of people that share this same feeling as you. All Good Mate

Man you killed it with this reaction. Best one I've seen!!
One of the most amazing Genre-Crossovers I have ever heard and watched. Chester gone too soon!

@Kevin Zhang the backup interviews with Mike Shinoda and Jay-Z
10/10 Jay and Chester were friends. He dedicated a song to him when he passed.

If I could go back in time to see any live performance this is such an easy choice

This is the ONLY song, I have heard Mike and Chester swear in. Mike and Chester are LEGENDS...R.I.Paradise Chester

JAY Z est scotché par la puissance de la voix de Chester, abonnée de France
This is a one time show were they performed most of the songs from this album.
But they also had Jay Z invited to perform 1 song in some other concerts LP did
For this live show they played all the songs on the album which is 6 songs.
If you want to hear Mike full on rapping, you need to react to When They Come for Me. I’m guessing you haven’t heard it.
Chester était, est et restera mon chanteur préféré, il me manque énormément. Repose en paix Chester 😢🤘🙏

Soon ;)
If you listen to the song High Voltage which was a b side/ bonus track on Hybrid Theory you definitely get more Mike than Chester.
I dug linkin park hybrid theory when I was younger. then I got into tool and felt like linkin park was too much like pop music and never went to a show. my loss.

The first album was called Hybrid Theory that came out on October 24 2000.
