I drove a U 1000 demonstrator for a day back in 1986! Yes 86! Same cab design with a great 3 range 8speed gearbox which began my lifetime ♥️ of Unimog. The company didn't buy Unimog but did go for M.B trac 1000, which proved to be a super tractor over the 6 years I had it. Enjoyed your video 😊
Thank you mate 😊 we do have another video upload soon hopefully we build a living box on the back. Should be a good video when I finally finish the video 😊
pure stunning , fair play what a lovely job down to the littlest detail like a wheel bolt , great to see an old machien see new life and not be disregarded , top job i know ure taking care of her
You could always follow our Facebook page and Instagram page 😊 we are hoping to upload another video soon with the unimog 😊 Covid has just slowed us down a lot. :) but thank you I’m glad you like it 🥰
The restoration itself is pretty good. Not fond of the choice paints and all the bling is just over the top in my opinion. Y’all must like having red nuts. Anyhow it’s your truck and you like it. Good work
@@YorkshireLassUK will do just that. I'm trying to get one from an army barracks here in Zambia. Unfortunately cause I'm not indigenous Zambian and hold an Italian passport,I can't enter the barracks. Nevertheless, TIA, this is Africa. A flash of a few bucks might do the job. Fingers crossed.
Very nice job on the resto I own the same truck it looks like yours came from the German Military like mine. I have the OM 366 turbocharged engine and when I picked mine up it had 21K miles on it the truck looked almost brand new. The 1300 is my second Unimog and one of the nicest most capable trucks I have ever owned! They definitely deserve the quality attention you put into this one, To the best of my knowledge there is not a truck built in the US that comes even close to the Unimog, if there is I dont know about it! Keep up the great work!
Amazing restoration! I hope we can do a resto half as nice as yours soon on our ex-ADF 1700L. Absolutely love that main Mercedes emblem you custom made. Would you make another for a fee?
The OutFit I’m sure your restoration will be great ! Will you be uploading progress ? I’ve subscribed just in case you do . No plans to recreate badges at moment but might do in future. We’ve made a lift on living box for the unimog which is nearly complete so we will upload that when done .
@@YorkshireLassUK The graphite grey paint job you did looks really amazing. Has it held up to the elements well? We are tossing up between some sort of grey or a vintage blue shade. Would you know the paint code of your graphite grey?
YorkshireLass UK fair enough and fully understand after the time and effort that you guys put into the restoration. I have a 1962 Fordson super dexta (profile picture) that I’ve owned since I was 13 and although it has had a full engine rebuild and some paint I try to make it work as it was meant to so I do bits of ploughing, subsoiling, mowing and tree work with it as and when I get chance, it also makes it a hobby that pays for itself 🚜🛠👍🏻

@@YorkshireLassUK Hi again I am looking at purchase a 1300 to convert to an expedition truck. 1. what were the main rust issues, I noticed the floor replacement how were the doors? 2. like you I am in Hull did you do most of the fabrication or did you use a local company? 3. if we ever get out of this lockdown could I have a look around your truck? Keith
@@keithevans947 main rust issues for most unimogs are found at the bottoms of the doors , bottom of windscreen ,think floor had few holes one side so was changed , we used a guy in hull to do the fabrication of the cab and sure if we ever get out of this lockdown 😀

awesome !amazing..

Beautiful! What is the top speed? Is there room for a turbo? Does it have a functioning PTO, front or rear?
About 48mph, no functioning pto and probably will need to lift cab for a turbo
May I know what is the cost I shall expect to do one?
Depends how bad it is, ours was quite bad, also covid has made everything more expensive now
