I had a Sacagawea coin when I was a kid. I dont even remember how it ended up in my possession, but I loved it. It was a beautiful coin. It was cool too, because how many coins have a woman with a baby on it?
I wish I didn’t lose it. I still want a new one, one that looks like the coin I lost.
If you live in the US ask your local bank if they have any. Someone will exchange them at some point. I’ve gotten unopened mint rolls of Sacagawea dollars for $25 before. Thanks for watching.
I still have mine in the 25 coin us mint roll. Only the wounded eagle is exposed. Not sure I should open it. Kinda scared to separate them lol

I found a vending machine once that dispersed them about 5 years ago. I wish I would have cashed in!

If you buy a buss pass from the machine in the Denver train station it gives you Sacagawea coins for change.
They had them at the Welcome Center in rest stops here in the south I don't know where you are but they're still around I just bought one for a dollar from a clerk and it's a wounded eagle with three wounds
The vending machine in the breakroom of my former job gives these for change. I bought them off people.
There's a car wash near my house that gives them in their change machine. I used to hit it for SBA dollars.
Does the raised die flow only run that direction? Best way I know how to explain is I have one that that goes in this direction \ instead of / direction.
I wish someone would do a App on the Sacagawea experimental Rinse coin who knows what they are talking about. The greenish and copper colored ones. I think it's the worst coin to deal with. Thank You.

About 3...4 yrs ago, USA, I paid for a silver sagacawea 2000 coin in Ebay. After transaction, the dealer did not want to part with the coin. Money not refund.

Talking about people in hobbies I fish a lot make lures and I help everyone that asks for it as well give away a ton of my stuff and actually take them to spots just so they will come back or get into the sport.
I found a bank bag my dad had saved about 75 coins from a neighborhood grocery store he had for 49 years. There has to be a reason he kept these coins. I hv ran ads on different forms asking for someone to donate/give me a hour of their time that I’d meet them and just quickly look over these coins abd if any of them were worth sending off for grading and auctioning off I would be more than happy to give them 30% even 40% of what I sold it for, only fair plus it’s god given money. Plus people with coin knowledge I hv new found respect for I bought 3 books and no way can you just learn this shit in 3 months I’m more lost now than ever the books I feel were options. Anyway I couldn’t find anyone for less than 200.00 most was 350.00, I mean greedy come on, just taking a chance of maybe meeting a good friend for rest of ones life not good enough. I’m in San Antonio this week and going to try and find a place or someone to look at them real Quick I’m sure they are face value but I do hv a few off center bills from 30’s and 40’s, few steel pennies from 40’s, Kennedy half dollars 2- never been outta package since it was minted, Eisenhower dollars, Mercury dimes well worn, double off center penny 80% off center, a gold dollar has indian woman on the front, but the back has one of the states quarters stamped on the back I hv 6 of those gold coins with state quartered stamped on the back and just as shiny as can be looks like non circulated, prob ought to just cash all of them in call it quits this has been on my back due 9 years now and finally going to do something about it or cash it all in and that will be that thanks

Very informative information..I didn't know about the wounded eagle. I may need to start looking for them. I cringe at the amount of money I had to spend not knowing the value and money that I HAD hidden that grew legs and walked out of here like many other valuable things did thankfully the maintenance men were fired and I also have a safe since joining the coin family. I think I found an extremely rare Sacagawea dollar the reverse is a woman bending over a plant and there is writing on the edge of the coin like in the other dollar coins did I find something worth a lot of money?

@@MintMiser because I've never seen or heard anybody talk about a coin with these features or defects or whatever you want to call them. I believe this a unique one-of-a-kind coin error. Also I forgot to mention there is no date on the front or back of the coin
@@davidosborn7675 The Native American dollar coins currently have the date in the side. It sounds like you have a normal dollar coin. They change the design frequently so there are many different coins.
@@MintMiser okay I took a magnified look at the writing on the side. It is the date 2009 p an e pluribus unum. But I still never heard anybody talk about reverse being anything other than the eagle. Have you ever seen one with that lady bent over the corn stalk on a Sacagawea dollar?
I have 4 of the Cheerios 2000P, In great shape. I called a few coin collectors and they advised not to waste my time as they not worth a pinch of coon s***.

Depending on the year and mint mark, check for the wounded eagle or the cheerios dollar. Those are the big ones. Finding an error coin worth money is like hitting the lottery. The fun is in the treasure hunt. Good luck.

Only the presidens 1 dollar coins have lettering on the side of the coin but their is a segawega 1 dollar coin which was not ment to be made only the president's coins was made with lettering on the side of the coin. I have 2 of them with lettering on the side of the coin with a guy planting trees those where not ment to be made only the president dollar coins where.
Okay my dad left and coins behind and we thought that it was meant air but it's not it's meant damage and it was damaged by a machine that packed the coins together to put them in the paper roll apparently on the end where folds to roll the dice trikes that coin and makes an absolute identical mark on all of the rules are just that one face going so I have two of them that are actually edetic one that was meant damage not strike error

Did you carefully compare your coin to the one in the video? Does it match the details, variety, error depicted? Is it in good enough condition to be valuable? If so, take your coin to a coin shop to get the opinion of a professional. There are different methods of selling based on the value of a coin. Ebay, private sale, auction, coin dealer etc. Good luck!

Only few have been found of Sacaqewa 2000 P Rotated Error. And they have been circulated. Mine are B.U. mine are at 83° Another words. Eagel is upside down on reverse with beak at 83°
Man, just found your channel. In 2001, i worked at McDonald's. Some guy came in the drivethru and handed me 4 to 5 of those Saktaqueweah coins to pay for his food. Three of them were error coins. So we immediately exchanged them for dollar bills. And split them between us. I believe I got 2. I got one that was double stamped. The frustrating thing is i put them away, and forgot about them. I Recently found out that an error Sakatchewah coun was sold for a few thousand a few years ago. Now its 2024, and I cannot find those coins at all. Anybody else deal with this kind of situation?
