Agreed but I think there might have a niche application in mind, for example protecting the Arctic Circle, or even to enhance their ability to protect allies like the PRC and other brics members. Plus China is leading the way in anti-hypersonic technology (photonic microwave radar) so I would be willing to be that sharing that technology will be part of their mutual defence agreement.

Russia doesn't need an Aircraft Carrier. They have only four areas to have ships in. The Black Sea, Cut off by NATO in the Med. The Baltic Sea cut off by NATO again. The Arctic, cut off by ice during the winter but great for subs. The Pacific but limited. Building an AC would tax the Russian resources and they would need to build large modern cruisers, destroyers to support a ship like that. They don't need a Flattop Amphibious ship, just large ones for limited duty!

It's doubtful to be honest Russia has to construct the infrastructure before they even think about building it and that's a very expensive cost to add before the hull is laid down. Now add in Russia's inexperience with constructing such a large vessel and that's additional money and time working out the kinks in the initial design and after sea trials. It's an ambition that will die with Putin because it would take a huge chunk of the defence budget to do.

Wtedy też wszystkie największe floty budowały Pancerniki, które wkrótce masowo zaczęły być zatapiane przez lotniskowce. Russia shouldnt bother wasting resources on one of these. These things are obsolete, subs are the future. Hypersonics are where its at. Dont get me wrong aircraft carriers are cool, but so were battleships before WW2, they were obsolete too by that stage.
