Cursed use for Emilie: place her in a Cyno team to substitute Nahida in multiwave content. It brings the team's damage down considerably, but it makes dealing with multiwave a lot easier and comfier, which is Cyno's weakness, and with quicken uptime Cyno's damage, even downgraded without Nahida's buff, is more than high enough to deal with most enemies you'll meet in multiwave content. It's cursed in the same way in which EM Raiden is cursed: you give up the high damage potential of the unit to provide some kind of off-field elemental application that no other character can give to the same extent. Whether or not it's actually effective, that remains to be tested.

But, with a strong enough Cyno, that might be a good tradeoff to mitigate one of his biggest weaknesses, namely his lack of flexibility especially in mustiwave content. He's always going to be at his best strictly as a single target or single wave killer, but the QoL given from just not having to swap out of him and still maintain quicken uptime in the next wave of enemies might just be enough to make it worth the trade in damage. After all, despite what most people say about Cyno, his damage potential is very high, comparable to Neuvillette if (and only if) the conditions allow him to reach that potential (whereas Neuvillette doesn't need particular conditions to reach his full damage potential, he just blasts off anything, which is why he's still the superior unit by a large margin). Lowering his very high damage potential to make him usable in content that is usually unfavourable to him could be a worthy trade

Supports tend to be more relevant over time, unlike DPS's. Kazuha buffs damage, does double swirl, has VV shred, has very good grouping, and has pretty good damage himself. Emilie only does more damage when there's a burning reaction. That's it. Her dendro application isn't very good. It could be a similar case as Thoma where his application sucked and only managed to be relevant on burgeon teams, much later. But that's the point, it got a LITTLE more relevant. She MIGHT get better with Natlan, but not to the point of being another kazuha. Historically, the characters that have been slept on and had a major buff later on (or people realized their huge potential), were: Kazuha, Kuki, Baizhu, Kokomi, and the big 3 (Bennet, Xiangling and Xingqiu). Honestly? Thank you a lot for this video. I don't normally care about hate comments but the genshin community has talked so badly about Emilie to the point that I was starting to feel guilty for wanting to use my primos on her, and I have fallen in love with her at first sight. Hope everyone pulling for her win their 50/50 ❤
I think half the people are skipping Emilie because of her disappointing character design. Especially, since she had concept art of a bunch of different designs leaked back at the beginning of Fontaine, and every last design was better than the one they went with. I saw so much disappointment from people over her design when she was first officially announced.
As a Miko main, watching you use miko’s skills in a straight line at the start of the video physically made me stop eating and stare at the screen in horror

One thing that bugs me is that Emilie's skill is stationary when Furina's pets literally teleport to the enemy. I know Chiori had the same issue but I still think it's cringe to have this issue after Furina's release, especially because the abyss loves to spawn new enemies far away.
The way i feel about Emilie is similar to how i felt about Kokomi; a character that has potential that will get better later on. I opened every chest in the deep sea Fontaine area and got extra primos from the fountain to try my luck at getting her and my luck payed off. If only getting great artifacts on my domain runs were as lucky.
@@FliponYT I´ve always been a burning enjoyer. People think Burning is bad because the reaction itself doesn´t do that much damage but that doesn´t mean burning teams cannot do good damage overall.
ALL of the character that got release before a new region are goated and were underrated at release. We got kazuha who was under rated before inazuma, kuki who was severely underrated before sumeru, Baizhu underrated before fontain, and now Emily before nathlan
I will say in her trial I was surprised at how strong she felt. I guess I just didn't expect much because of the pre-release stuff I heard. I am curious as to how Mavuika will change her/buff her, but for now she's pretty strong.
Good run-down of her kit imo. I wasn't really paying attention during this patch after Zenless's release, will try to get her and test out the teams you recommended
I wasn't planning on pulling her but I realised I wasn't interested in having new dps's so soon (unless they're pyro) and I'll probably won't pull till the archon, so I got her and I'm currently building her. She's quite fun, and I especially like the fact I only need to press one bottle for her to work 👍
im getting her to widen my account. I already have most chars. I failed to get navia. She’s dendro and there’s barely any dendro chars despite having all dendro chars. I think she’ll be very comfy for arlecchino. Especially during daily missions that spawn waves so i don’t have to swap back so much to nahida. Also she heavily synergizes with pyro and it’s obvious we will be getting strong pyro units in Natlan, Snez potentially, and beyond.
how often would you have to be applying pyro for emile? the way you describe it at 3:45 makes it sound like you really only need one or two pryo applications to keep the burning going for shorter rotationis.
One app every 6 seconds is needed to upkeep burning assuming the pyro aura isn’t used up before it refreshes. So yes you would only need about 2 pyro apps in a 15s~ for Emilie’s full damage profile.
quickburn is actually good. my fav team is raiden emilie xl bennett. so strong and raiden helps with emilie’s er requirements so u can build her more offensively.

You know I have been thinking of an interesting team with emilie one being "Emillie, Bennet, Xiangling, and Ganyu (not the basic attack archetype but mostly reliant to burst hence, maybe a noblesse or a emblem ganyu)" It might sound silly but since ganyu's burst uptime is somewhat 100% ish (correct me if I am wrong) then it coincides with emilie's off-field uptime then you have your 2 burning applicators. You have a reverse-melt shower basically
That actually sounds hilarious as an aoe team the theory does actually work as well and Emilie’s st is so high that the performance shouldn’t fall of there. Ganyu’s burst also snapshots so you can set up a cryo swirl. Bro might be onto something ‼️
Ye, I already see her being one of those last patch unit that everyone overlook and skip for new region characters, but turns out to be op and vastly useful.
She gives me “Dehya will be great in Fontaine” vibes. Even though I know her kit is better it’s still a huge gamble to pull her on the assumption she will synergize with the Pyro Archon. Everything about her play style and aesthetics is mid which makes her hard sell for me. For me she’s a “pull on rerun if broken” type of character.
if i have characters like furina, kazuha, and nahida already, a guarentee, and no one to pull for the foreseeable future, is it in my best interest to get emily for things like future characters and new, unique, teams?

I am thinking of running the neuvillete team you team you mentioned but I don't have zhongli, is layla a decent alternative or will the cryo interfere with the burning reaction?
One flaw she will have is that her dmg will be bricked against Hydro, Cryo, and Electro elementals, since you can’t get Burning aura, it’s a small issue but it can come up occasionally. Also I think in AoE scenarios you will want to use Emilie’s burst within Bennett’s circle, it does have quadratic scaling like Ganyu burst

I would like to say, as someone who likes cryo and has been waiting for a ressurgence for a while, that albeit emilie *might* in the future possibly buff melt teams, it is far safer to get a future pyro buffer (if there is any) before emilie, so she doesnt become deadweight in your account, not only that you get to keep the primogems for said buffer I myself got emilie at a primogem price higher than what i'd want and she might be completely useless on my end if they decide to not buff cryo in natlan
So besides her sig. which obviosly gonna be her bis what weapon would be good for her. You mentioned jade spear so I'll guess homa and staff are gonna be fine for her as stat sticks but what would be her next best option?
Unironically calamity Queller is her second best weapon and after jade spear and homa you can choose from the prospectors drill, engulfing lightning, deathmatch. And if you managed to play the event the missive windspear is also solid.

I heard that Mavuika is gonna be in 5.3 instead because archon quest will be longer and improved (like how liyue and inazuma ends in x.1 and sumeru and fontaine ends in x.2 so natlan and snezhnaya ends in x.3), if ur going for Kinich I suggest wait till the 5.0 anniversary stream (16th august) and see all the sweet primogem count, u might have a chance on Emilie.
I was really planning to roll for her because I thought Chevreuse would be on rate up in her banner. Sadly she isn't there. It would suck to roll on her banner now but I'll try to get her I am on 50/50 tho. I wish I can get her really early to save pulls 🙏
If you planning to pull Kinich you should get Emilie. Xiangling don't really work in Kinich for comfortable gameplay wise and you just need Guoba for Mulani. Xiangling doesn't need in Natlan team composition.

I didnt expect to have enough primos since I was getting Furina cons, until I got two Furinas in one 10 pull ridiculously early. So now I'm running around with a c4 Furina and enough primos to hopefully grab Emilie too
after watching this, I kinda struggle to decide something... do I go for Emilie for my Arlecchino teams or do I go for weapon banner to get Aqua for my Yelan or a future Ganyu or Lumidoce as a better statstick than deathmatch for either Arlecchino or Xiao...? Maybe even for Cyno (or I could use Deathmatch or one of the 5 Stars on Cyno instead of Moonpiercer...) Could you give me some advice here?
I'm pretty sure Arlechinno's best team is VV vape, Aqua for Yelan isn't that great in my experience (not an ER wep) I honestly gave it to Fischl instead since I have Elegy so I put that on Yelan and "future Ganyu"? ur going to pull a weapon for a character u don't have yet? unless u really like Ganyu, she isn't really that amazing of a character meta wise in my experience ever since morgana fell off.
Let’s just cross off Lumidouce as for Arle or Xiao compared to deatchmatch it isn’t massive. Unless you have C1 or are running double hydro set ups Aqua can be quite hard to fit into teams so that’s something to consider. And I wouldn’t pull it for the chance you get Ganyu as you may change your mind later and there are a plethora of 5 star bows that compete with aqua like the first great magic or hunters path. So to narrow things down either go for emilie or Aqua for Yelan if you can play her on teams where she isn’t going to be er bottlenecked

I would say this, She is a great pull on a rerun. The problem really if she was release on 4.7 she might have people actually pulling her so she is really bricked the moment she releases before Natlan
For now, I just don't want to play any if these team so it doesn't make sense to get Emilie. She is not a Xiangling replacement when you have to use her with her in many teams. So she is clearly not what we are asking for. Her banners is just meh, I have Xiangling C6, Yanfei C6 and Razor C3 (I don't care about his constellations).

Burning is my favorite reaction, but I'm going to have to catch her and Kinich on their reruns because I'm saving rn. I'll get them eventually though, they seem like much higher damage than my Tighnari, Baizhu, Bennett, Jean burning team, or my Venti, Baizhu, Bennett, Kazuha team lol, and Kinich just seems fun to play
I want her but im Saving for Xilonin since im an unfortunate Itto Main 😢. She might be exactly what itto needs to catch up in the meta. Ill get her on rerun so i can have BURN! Arlecchino team with Mavuika, Xilonin and Emeilie.

You know I have been thinking of an interesting team with emilie one being "Emillie, Bennet, Xiangling, and Ganyu (not the basic attack archetype but mostly reliant to burst hence, maybe a noblesse or a emblem ganyu)"
It might sound silly but since ganyu's burst uptime is somewhat 100% ish (correct me if I am wrong) then it coincides with emilie's off-field uptime then you have your 2 burning applicators. You have a reverse-melt shower basically
That actually sounds hilarious as an aoe team the theory does actually work as well and Emilie’s st is so high that the performance shouldn’t fall of there. Ganyu’s burst also snapshots so you can set up a cryo swirl. Bro might be onto something ‼️

Got her for my lyney, hoping mavuika is the bennet replacement we've all been waiting for.
She gives me “Dehya will be great in Fontaine” vibes. Even though I know her kit is better it’s still a huge gamble to pull her on the assumption she will synergize with the Pyro Archon. Everything about her play style and aesthetics is mid which makes her hard sell for me. For me she’s a “pull on rerun if broken” type of character.
if i have characters like furina, kazuha, and nahida already, a guarentee, and no one to pull for the foreseeable future, is it in my best interest to get emily for things like future characters and new, unique, teams?

I am thinking of running the neuvillete team you team you mentioned but I don't have zhongli, is layla a decent alternative or will the cryo interfere with the burning reaction?
Cryo will definitely cause some vape loses you try slotting in a character like Dehya or Kirara
One flaw she will have is that her dmg will be bricked against Hydro, Cryo, and Electro elementals, since you can’t get Burning aura, it’s a small issue but it can come up occasionally.
Also I think in AoE scenarios you will want to use Emilie’s burst within Bennett’s circle, it does have quadratic scaling like Ganyu burst

I feel like she's going to be like Nilou where her initial banner is going to not sell at all but her rerun is going to be nuts once more units use Forward Vape and Reverse Melt
I would like to say, as someone who likes cryo and has been waiting for a ressurgence for a while, that albeit emilie *might* in the future possibly buff melt teams, it is far safer to get a future pyro buffer (if there is any) before emilie, so she doesnt become deadweight in your account, not only that you get to keep the primogems for said buffer
I myself got emilie at a primogem price higher than what i'd want and she might be completely useless on my end if they decide to not buff cryo in natlan
So besides her sig. which obviosly gonna be her bis what weapon would be good for her. You mentioned jade spear so I'll guess homa and staff are gonna be fine for her as stat sticks but what would be her next best option?
Unironically calamity Queller is her second best weapon and after jade spear and homa you can choose from the prospectors drill, engulfing lightning, deathmatch. And if you managed to play the event the missive windspear is also solid.

I heard that Mavuika is gonna be in 5.3 instead because archon quest will be longer and improved (like how liyue and inazuma ends in x.1 and sumeru and fontaine ends in x.2 so natlan and snezhnaya ends in x.3), if ur going for Kinich I suggest wait till the 5.0 anniversary stream (16th august) and see all the sweet primogem count, u might have a chance on Emilie.

If you planning to pull Kinich you should get Emilie.
Xiangling don't really work in Kinich for comfortable gameplay wise and you just need Guoba for Mulani. Xiangling doesn't need in Natlan team composition.

I didnt expect to have enough primos since I was getting Furina cons, until I got two Furinas in one 10 pull ridiculously early. So now I'm running around with a c4 Furina and enough primos to hopefully grab Emilie too

after watching this, I kinda struggle to decide something...
do I go for Emilie for my Arlecchino teams or do I go for weapon banner to get Aqua for my Yelan or a future Ganyu or Lumidoce as a better statstick than deathmatch for either Arlecchino or Xiao...? Maybe even for Cyno (or I could use Deathmatch or one of the 5 Stars on Cyno instead of Moonpiercer...)

I'm pretty sure Arlechinno's best team is VV vape, Aqua for Yelan isn't that great in my experience (not an ER wep) I honestly gave it to Fischl instead since I have Elegy so I put that on Yelan and "future Ganyu"? ur going to pull a weapon for a character u don't have yet? unless u really like Ganyu, she isn't really that amazing of a character meta wise in my experience ever since morgana fell off.
Let’s just cross off Lumidouce as for Arle or Xiao compared to deatchmatch it isn’t massive.
Unless you have C1 or are running double hydro set ups Aqua can be quite hard to fit into teams so that’s something to consider. And I wouldn’t pull it for the chance you get Ganyu as you may change your mind later and there are a plethora of 5 star bows that compete with aqua like the first great magic or hunters path.
So to narrow things down either go for emilie or Aqua for Yelan if you can play her on teams where she isn’t going to be er bottlenecked

I would say this, She is a great pull on a rerun. The problem really if she was release on 4.7 she might have people actually pulling her so she is really bricked the moment she releases before Natlan

For now, I just don't want to play any if these team so it doesn't make sense to get Emilie.
She is not a Xiangling replacement when you have to use her with her in many teams.
So she is clearly not what we are asking for.
Her banners is just meh, I have Xiangling C6, Yanfei C6 and Razor C3 (I don't care about his constellations).
